The hotel is well located if you want to get to the airport. There is a gas station next door and restaurants within walking distance. But it is not a place where you would want to spend time. The room was dated and the carpet was very stained. It was fine for one night.

Me and my husband booked a superior double bedroom with a balcony for one week here as part of our honeymoon trip. Upon arrival Marco, the receptionist waa friendly and informative. The bedroom had an odd smell and the bed itslelf was hard and uncomfortable. Even though there were not many guests staying at the time of our arrival, we revieved a room directly above the hotel restaurant which affected our sleep massively.there was constantly a noise of chairs being scraped and pushed until late hours at night and then again from 7 am onwards for breakfast. We were let down to discover the sauna and steam room were inaccessible and were only open jn thw winter. If we had known this when we booked we would have hone elsewhere. Furthermore the gym had no means of air ventilation,no fan or air con and was located in the basement level of the hotel. It was far too hot to use the equipment and when we did, we were drenched in sweat. One day the pool was closed for half a day and the reception were not helpful indicating us when it would re open. Apparently the chlorine levels were too high. We couldnt see much being done about it. We asked for a manger and there was nobody available or jn the bujlding. Overall a bizzare stay, the barman/ waiter was rude to my husband saying he should have learnt Italian before his stay and was harassing us sharing unacceptable stories and talking to us when we wanted to enjoy one another's company. The cleaners were lovely. I wouldn't recommend it.

Located directly on a busy train track this hotel has seen better days, or maybe it was always a dump. Our room had holes in the bathroom door from a previous guest punching and kicking it. The shower randomly turned cold every 30 seconds and the train was ear piercingly loud as it passed every few minutes. A bus stop bench is preferable.

Great hotel
Well placed hotel, easy to find and friendly staff. Only dissapointment, parking charged at 11 euros and no reason why it was not stated as chargeable. There was no where else to park as located in a busy street and I only stay at hotels with parking. Other than this I was really pleased and had a comfortable night sleep.

Dear Mr Dave, We thank You for Your Review but we are sorprise because in our hotel THE PARKING IS FREE. Therefore we don't understand what could have happened. It could be another extra (example bar, restaurant , mini bar) that we debited and our system has selected for mistake parking. Please send us you receipt and contact us . Hotel needs some updates and near train tracks
For the price you pay here, it should be in better shape. The extra bed we had to pay for with our 2 kids, was a broken fold out couch. It was totally lopsided. The room is old with old carpets, drapes. Also... there is a train track right behind the hotel!! Although, there is no night service. During day can be quite loud since we had room next to track. Breakfast was great!! Eggs, ham, and everything. Coffee machines were always busy - but everyone loves coffee!

Wonderful spot
Really great last-minute stay. Needed to get into a clean, modern hotel, and this was just it. Nice pool, dining and rooms. Would stay again for sure!

Perfect for the Airport: a good hotel overall
We need an overnight stay close to Cagliari Airport when our flights were cancelled unexpectedly. Hotel Grillo was able to accommodate us: the stay calmed and refreshed us so that we could resume our journey at 06.00 the next day,

A pleasant stay
Service was good and the room was nice. Friendly staff. Pool was freezing though even in the heat. Near a train to Cagliari but were very irregular. Not much to do locally.

Nice clean hotel but the staff need to be more welcoming and helpful a smile wouldn't go a miss... advertises courtesy bus to the airport but was told no ... says gym open 24 hrs but was closed... not overly impressed

Good location and not a bad hotel.
Room was clean and comfortable. Very basic facilities. Staff really good except for a couple of female receptionists who were ok but not overly helpful. All the same overall experience was pleasant. The fact that the a Wellness Centre was not available was very disappointing and picture of sauna should be removed from promo pictures. Breakfast was continental style only.

Convenient stay for Cagliari airport
We had a 2 night stay prior to an early flight from Cagliari airport which is an easy 10 min drive to the airport and there is a petrol station next door to the hotel for refuelling your rental car. Good car parking in the hotel grounds. Check in was straightforward if a bit lacking in warmth and information both of the hotel facilities and the local area. The standard double room was bigger than many hotel doubles with a nice bathroom. The room decor was a bit dated with a heavy bedcover which I suspect isn't changed between guests but otherwise the room and bathroom were clean with daily fresh towels. Amenities included a minbar fridge, but no in room tea/coffee, and a hairdryer in the bathroom. The hotel wifi was great when it was working but on the first night you couldn't log on, possibly the system couldn't cope with the number of guests trying to use it. The are 2 options for getting into Cagliari if you don't want to drive; train with the Assimini Carmine station 2 streets away and the bus with the stop about 20m away on the same side of the street. Breakfast was a self service buffet which was adequate but nothing special. Best dinner option is the pizzeria directly across the road. Overall a good option close to Cagliari airport.

We came here by chance and found it a great place for nice relaxing break with a great local vibe. Found a local pizza bar with wood fired pizza's ( the Tommy Macs of Assemini) or whatever your favorite take away is in your town. Need to put ashtrays on balconey for smokers to stop them useing flower pots.

The wifi did not work in the room. The homepage announced airport shuttle but taxi was the only option. Although we left 5 am we got a cappuccino and a croissant.

Great Experience at the Grillo Hotel
The Grillo Hotel perfectly suited our needs. We had a Junior Suite with lots of room to spread out and work and a nice balcony. We walked down the road and had dinner at Il Maratoneta, where the food and service was excellent. The drive to the airport in the morning was effortless. Finding the rental car return was a bit difficult as it is not signposted once you are on the airport property.

Hotel a 15km do centro da cidade e a 10m do aeroporto. Ideal se tiver carro e pretender explorar outras zonas da ilha. Fácil estacionamento (possuiu parque gratuito). Pequena piscina e centro fitness, restaurante. Por detrás do hotel existe uma linha de caminho de ferro que poderá provocar ruído incómodo nos quartos voltados para as traseiras. A localidade onde está situado não possui grandes pontos de interesse mas possui alguns restaurantes, gelataria, posto combustível, supermercado e outros serviços de interesse.

Sardinian hotel
Our stay was most enjoyable. The staff were helpful and welcoming. There was plenty of choice at breakfast. The buses stopped just a few yards outside the hotel and were very frequent. We would have no hesitation in staying there again if we were in the area.

Very convenient for the airport. Big room only problem poor sound proofing between rooms. Good rates. The hotel hadn't received our booking from expedia but sorted everything quickly and without fuss.

Great restaurant!
The food in the restaurant was fantastic (though a little pricey). There was a mix-up with the hotel shuttle, which the hotel manager blamed on us because we were not at the correct waiting area? (We were directed to door #7 from the arrivals area by the information desk at the airport, and apparently, according to the hotel manager, the shuttle was waiting at door #2 in the departures area . . . ) We were not even greeted by him when we came in the door after finally arriving by taxi (25 Euro, and the hotel was only 10 minutes from the airport, near Oleggio, though not walking distance to anywhere). The hotel is clean, and the room was quite nice (Jr. suite). They do have a taxi service that they call at a reduced rate, who will take you to Oleggio, a quite charming town, with a great little restaurant recommended by the taxi driver--family run and owned for a long time. So we had a nice stay in spite of the manager's attitude and shuttle mix-up, and location in the middle of nowhere.

The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and helpful. The room was clean and large. The breakfast was tasty and varied. Internet free and fantastic connection. The food in the restaurant was great!

Not as good as advertised...
Even though this hotel serves (mostly?) guests leaving Sardinia by plane (its very close to the Cagliari International), breakfast was served from 7:30am. We had a flight to catch at 8am so while checking out around 6am we were helped by the front desk staff with a croissant and almost cold (milk?) cappuccino. That was awful. The hotel room drapery did not work, the air conditioner was loud and the room smelled cigarette butts. So overall experience was not good at all. One positive note: the connection from the hotel to the airport is very simple and short (10min). And one more thing - if you want to fill up the tank of your rental before you drop it off arrive before 6:30pm as the gas stations in town close around that time. Or get yourself some cash to fill up at an automated pump as it not always (never?) accepts foreign credit cards.

A good place to stay if you are visiting Caglairi or going to the airport. Beaches are quite far. A good hotel with a nice pool and good value for money.

Great conveniences for low price
Huge sleeping and living quarters, excellent furnishings and wonderful shower. Breakfast options not overflowing but still filling. Very restful, despite the large restaurant/bar crowd downstairs. Not in an otherwise lively part of town but on a road strewn with fuel stations to fill up the rental car on the quick dash to the airport. Staff had to unlock the secure parking for me to leave and return again in the early morning (dropped off my mother for a flight hours before mine). They did so with a smile, and without keeping me waiting. Cleaning staff very courteous as well.

Convenient for Cagliari
Good place to stay and 25 30mins from the city centre but it takes more time to nice beaches (min 45 60mins). A very nice pool is open until late. Large clean rooms and helpful staff. Nice gelataria nearby and a couple of restaurants. Good value for money if you are prepared to use à car.

Great staff and good food and clean neat and tidy.
We were very pleased with the Hotel and staff and we enjoyed the food in the resturant and found that it was conviently located for getting around Sardengna.

Very pleasant stay
Hotel Grillo is conveniently located close to Cagliari's airport, and a short drive or bus ride to the city center. There are some very good restaurants close to the hotel and in the hotel itself. The rooms were clean, spacious and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Excellent hotel with friendly , helpful staff, excellent gym and good, well cared for rooms. In a suburb of Cagliari near airport and is an excellent first base for a stay in Sardinia. Has good restaurant and there are a couple of good restaurants nearby.

More 3* than 4*
Went here for mini honeymoon, main one next year. Stayed 5 nights. Found hotel ok, only 10 mins from Cagliari airport. When arrived, was not impressed by standard room but was given upgrade - new room much better, not quite 4* but cosy and clean. Room had TV, some satellite channels, sofas, small balcony, very comfy large bed, small hydromassage bath and very basic hairdryer in bathroom. Hotel has nice swimming pool and gym. Does a sauna, but the hotel have not been given the license to open this yet. The hotel is also next to a railway line and the airport - can be a little noisy. Found all staff to be very friendly, particularly those on reception who spoke good English too. They would advise us on good beaches to go to, such as Chia and Villasimius (both a good hour´s drive away). There were other beaches only 20 mins away but we wanted to go to the better ones. Also went in Cagliari, about 20mins away, not too much to see but gave us something different to do other than going to the beach. Ate in hotel 2 nights as only a couple of other restaurants in the area - a nice pizzeria a few doors along and a little italian up the road. Neighbourhood seemed quite safe, though not many shops or restaurants around. Hotel food very good, reasonably priced too. Waiters Ignaccio and Luca were excellent. Breakfasts were basic continential, quite nice, ended at 9.30am. Overall, would say that this hotel is ideal for a stop over for the airport or business meeting, but not for tourists. The staff made the stay pleasant but the hotel was more like a 3* than 4* and we probabaly wouldn´t go back again for our holiday break.

Overall this Hotel was satisfactory the room was clean and comfortable , some of electic switches were broken, still worken but concerning . the air conditioning was inaficient making roovery hot but this was August the hotest time temps arond 30 degrees. breakfast ok - continental, resturant closed for August for annual hols. Staff freindly and helpful overall a excellent choice for overnight or weekend, but may not suit for longer stays

Queda situado a unos 20 minutos de Cagliari en coche, ideal si no querés quedarte en medio del quilombo del centro. Fue una sorpresa agradable luego de haber estado en otro sitio y totalmente disconforme. La verdad que el sitio es excelente, el personal muy atento y con ganas siempre de hacerse entender y solucionar las cuestiones. La piscina es hermosa, el ámbito también y todo muy tranquilo. Pasó un día que limpiaron la habitación se llevaron las toallas pero no las repusieron, avisamos a la recepción, fuimos a la piscina y cuando volvimos nos habían dejado las toallas dentro de la habitación. Todo mas que bien.

L hôtel mérite un bon coup de rafraîchissement. L’extérieur ne donne pas envie et la décoration intérieure n’est pas chaleureuse. Les chambres sont entièrement à refaire la peinture s’écaille les murs sont défraîchis et la décoration date des années 60. Piscine fermée alors que ce n’était stipulé nulle part lors de notre réservation. Cependant quelques points positifs sont a noter: - L’hôtel est plutôt bien situé, à proximité a pied de plusieurs restaurants et à 15 m de voiture du centre de Cagliari - Personnel (accueil-femme de ménage-staff du restaurant) sympathique et agréable
