Log/coal fire, dining/sitting room, 3 bedrooms sleeping 4/5 all with heaters, kitchen with fridge freezer, microwave, electric cooker and bathroom with bath and shower. Pretty garden and terrace with that wonderful view and garden furniture. Lots of interesting things to visit in the locality. The cottage is not on the road but 100m downhill via a concreted track (uphill on the way back!) A private parking space at the side of the quiet country road. We weren't far from Llanberis where we had some great food and went on a beautiful walk to the castle. The cottage was well equipped and gave us the chance to feel properly nestled in the mountain. We used our time their to celebrate my partners birthday, and begin art projects we've been preparing for. We met a couple of others in Fachwen and they were so lovely and helpful! Make sure you take your pound coins, I'd say in the winter, to keep warm we needed around 15 worth at most, but we did have a decent fire on one of the days! The cottage is the perfect place to stay when visiting Snowdon and north Wales. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking and preparing meals. The three bedrooms are comfortable. The electric blankets are a great addition when the weather’s chilly. The living room has a large table with views from the window looking out at Snowdonia National Park. The cottage is very homely, the open fire was very appreciated in the evenings when the temperature dropped and waking up to the view of the lake and Snowdon was amazing, the best view of everywhere we visited! We were prepared for the cold, and took pound coins for the electric, we made use of the kitchen which was very well equipped and happy to say the water got nice and hot for a bath. The freezer wasn't particularly clean. The place is equipped with everything you need, the beds are comfortable but softly sprung. There are no towels or sheets provided and you pay for your electricity plus the descent from the parking to the house is about 120 yards but quite steep. Communication with the host was late and only via SMS. I think with more attention to cleanliness, this place is a gem! ##### Mike E.
