Modern parador. Beautiful location on the edge of the coast. Balcony with side view of the sea. Lavish breakfast. Very comfortable and relaxing stay.

It is comfortable and has excellent bedrooms and bathrooms. Breakfast is good. Staff are fine but not special.

Cadiz is worth a visit for a couple of days, plenty of history and the Parador Hotel is well located with great views and quality of accommodation

Pricey, but worth it

Our light-filled comfortable room at the Paradir de Cádiz was really lovely and somewhere we enjoyed lingering in the morning and relaxing in in the afternoon when the temperatures got too high (26-29C while we were there). Our regular room on the 3rd floor faced onto the park so got sun first thing and shade in the afternoon which suited us perfectly. All the rooms have great views but if you’re more of a sunworshipper, you might want to ask for one facing the swimming pools so you’ll get max sunshine. The modern design was getting a little bit shabby in places, such as on the sliding doors in the bathroom area, and had lost some of its slickness. Whilst the bathroom isn’t totally open, it also doesn’t allow much privacy from your bedfellow so may not be ideal for non-couples. Breakfast was great and good quality with plenty of choice, fresh bread and pastries, an egg chef, nespresso coffee machines, churros... The staff were more on the formal side than the friendly side but were happy to help with my request for a teapot. We drove there and parking wasn’t well signed posted but we found it after circling the building - the entrance is down the side of the hotel in between it and the park on right hand side if you’re facing the sea. Enjoyed the swimming pool area one afternoon too. Overall, it’s pricey but lovely for a treat.

Perfect in every way

Posted 05-Oct-2017
Pros: Location is perfect
Cons: A wider choice of pool-side lunch.
The check-in process was straight forward - our room was ready despite arriving a little before the "official" check-in time. The room was great - very modern, terrific views and very quiet. We had a light lunch by the pool - a very limited menu (the main restaurant had a wider choice) but pleasant enough. The pools are amazing! Breakfast the next day was good - plenty of choice and a Nespresso machine to make your own hot coffee. Definitely stay again - and thoroughly recommended.

Great for a mini trip to Jerez

Great location for a short walk into the city and to explore the local bars and sherry houses. When it starts getting hot in the afternoon retreat back to the hotel for some R&R by the outside pool. Each room comes with a fridge which is great, didn't have breakfast or evening meals at the hotel so can't comment on them
