Great location

Posted 30-May-2017
We really enjoyed our stay, our room, breakfast, pool excellent but the bar was disappointing right next to cafe, no atmosphere, odd furniture, at times partly cordoned off with ticker tape for groups. Why have shabby palates made into seating in an ultra modern hotel ? Very odd area, tatty plants, bad lighting, needs a designer !!

Modern hotel overlooking the promenade and sea

Posted 28-May-2017
Pros: The location was second to none and the bedroom was very comfortable.
Location: The location was good, it was just a short walk to the Old Town and there were lots of lovely restaurants and some interesting shops there.
This hotel is in a lovely location, the room was lovely. The shower was one of the best I ever saw in a hotel. The food was good but quite expensive. The pool area was lovely too and the views from here were fantastic.

We loved this hotel!

Posted 28-May-2017
We booked one night at this beautiful, modern parador by the sea and wished we had planned to stay longer. This hotel was a special treat for us made even nicer by the staff. I've noticed that where you stay, has a lot to do with how you remember a city or town. We loved Cádiz partly because we loved the Hotel Atlantico! The sumptuous breakfast buffet was icing on the cake. It was the most extensive we encountered by far with choices for everyone...antioxidant smoothies, made to order omlettes, fresh fruit and sweets were among the many items. If you can, include a stay in a Parador in every trip to Spain. We choose this one, and we are glad we did!

Modern hotel with excellent location

Posted 12-Apr-2017
We had two interconnecting rooms, great for families. Fabulous views no matter where your room is but the higher the better. Great to wake up with a floor to ceiling view of the bay. Didn't find any problems with the room as mentioned by other reviewers- all very straightforward in terms of the remote controls etc Excellent shower- one of the very best I have experienced in a hotel- and also a bath. Plenty of storage. The location of the hotel is brilliant. You can walk easily to all the sights/restaurants/beach. Breakfast very pleasant with everything you could wish for. I would recommend this hotel unreservedly.

WRONG CHOICE

Posted 02-Apr-2017
Pros: CHECKING OUT
Cons: RECEPTION WAS NOT FRIENDLY. VERY EXPENSIVE HOTEL PARKING AND BUFFET BREAKFAST
Location: BE READY TO WALK OR GET IN A BUS OR A TAXI. LITTLE OF INTEREST ANYWAY. VISIT THE MUSEUM AT THE MINAS PARK. NO GOOD MUSIC ANYWHERE. M DE FALLA IS DEAD.
NOT MUCH TO SEE. RESTAURANTS AND TAPAS BELOW STANDARD. IT IS A SAD CITY AND ITS PEOPLE LOOK SAD, DIFFERENT, MUCH DIFFERENT FROM OTHER SPANISH CITIES UP NORTH.

Great hotel, near the beach & the old town

Posted 15-Mar-2017
We chose to upgrade to a junior suite. Two shower/ bathrooms made for a very comfortable stay. All the staff were delightful. Breakfast was good, especially freshly cooked omelettes. Very good position, quiet, but near the town. Lovely restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic hotel

Posted 01-Mar-2017
Pros: Location, views and general design.
Cons: Clear away breakfast dishes. Kettle in room.....
Location: Cadiz is fantastic to walk around. Had a great meal at Ultramar and Nos. Visit Jerez and loved it also Medina Sidonia.
Really enjoyed our two night stay. Great hotel, particularly loved design, size and layout of room, great views. Also loved the view points on either side of corridor which was wide and bright. Didn't experience any difficulties with the lighting as some customers appear to. Breakfast was good, again fab view. Although there appeared to be very few staff around with dishes being left on table, unusual for such a hotel. Only real gripe, no kettle in room! Great location, easy to park. Would happily recommend.

Beautiful, modern hotel but restaurant menu tired

Posted 20-Jan-2017
Pros: The design
Cons: Restaurant menu. Do not recommend children. The balcony's are low and have tables and chairs. It would be concerning in summer with doors open.
Location: Most good restaurants walking distance. Worth driving to Jerez for the bodegas. Museums are great most free.
This hotel is beautifully designed. It is very modern with very interesting artistic features. The rooms have amazing views and are comfortable and well appointed. The showers are very efficient. Storage is also very cleverly designed. The only thing that lets this hotel down is the main restaurant. The menu is uninspiring, dull and not fit for the internatinal nature of the guests hence the fact in four days we only saw one couple dining in this large area. The cafe/bar fairs better and that is where most people tend to congregate. Service is good and the food is not bad but again could offer a more modern cuisine to match the ambience. It is worth staying here just to experience the wonderful decor. Everywhere you sit is comfortable, light and attractive.
