Starting with the positive, this hotel sits right next to the beach. On a quiet night, you can hear the waves from some of the rooms. Housekeeping also has done a terrific job o keeping the room squeaky clean. But that's as good as it gets.
The downside of the place, for starters, begin with the maintenance of the hotel. The room I stayed in needs some desperately needed maintenance such as water-logged doors. Then there is the added cost of parking - surprise, it's not free! There is parking out along the street if you can find it - at the risk of being vandalized! It almost feels like a conspiracy that the hotel has with the town, forcing hotel guests to pay the extra parking fees... The messy, paper-littered, poor excuse of a front desk is a small hole in the wall, that it is obvious they forgot to include one when the building was designed. But the worst part about the place are the front desk staff - they're some of the meanest I have ever dealt with. Instead of treating hotel guests in a professional, courteous and friendly manner, they have this maligned attitude and belief that guests owe them a favor! It's no wonder that they would not assign me to the bigger size room I clearly paid for, even after showing them my reservation, insisting I take the smallest room they could find!
