Tolles Apartment in der Fussgängerpassage

Posted 19-Jul-2015

Worthwhile.

Posted 16-Jul-2015
Pros: Location, apartment style.
Cons: The bed is not optimally comfortable. That is all that can be improved. The furniture and such is not maximal quality, but made up by the location.
We arrived and found the place clean and in the best location in town. We enjoyed it and will come back.

Lovely rooms in a great central location

Posted 16-Jul-2015
Pros: The studio was spacious, clean and well appointed. On a pedestrian only street and 50 mtrs or so from the lovely Plaza de San Antonio.
Location: Days out from Cadiz. Drive to Vejer de la Frontera, a pretty hilltop town (50min). Boat to Puerto de Santa María a sherry town, less than E6 return.
Ours was a studio apartment well suited to a couple or two adults and a child. The room had a fridge and plenty of room for food prep, cooking on the small hob and serving. The bed was good bed and the bathroom large. Cadiz old town is a good mix of grand, old, bustling shops and beach. Try eating on the hoof in the market (Plaza Libertad), great food and great value. Nothing to do with the accommodation but read on if you fancy a tour by hire car (which is what we did). My advice would be to hire the smallest car you can manage with. Some of the streets in the old towns are barely a small cars width, we occasionally had to fold in the mirrors our Corsa. Sat-navcan get you in a bit of a tangle in the maze like old town streets, just keep attacking your target from a different angle until you get there though (in this case set your sat-nav for Parking San Antonio). I got independent excess insurance cover for £30 online, rather than pay the hire car company rate, I didn't need it as it happened but I wouldn't go with out it. We visited Seville, Cordoba and Granada as well as Cadiz and had a really enjoyable trip that I would recommend. Having tried it, I'd say give Granada old town a miss with the car unless you're very good at reversing. If you're staying in the old part, park in one of the big car parks in the newer part of town and get a cab to your digs. Our trip was great fun and all four places were both interesting and beautiful.

Night in Cadiz.

Very good overall, only downsides being noise from street below and children shouting in adjacent room. Lady on reception particularly helpful and room was very clean.
