Hotel was ok overlooking Lake Como. Issued only one key per room which had to be kept in a slot in our room in order to turn electricity on....kinda weird. When I asked for a 2nd key, I was told there would be an extra charge for that. Hotel parking was difficult to find and when we did find a space we had to keep putting money into a machine to pay for parking.
Ill start by saying that this wasnt the Villa we had booked online...it was the San Martino. It was a beautiful Villa in the heart of Lake Como, tucked away in the awe inspiring mountain side. Room was huge, clean with plenty of space, two story Villa with full kitchen.
Lovely hotel with beautiful views. Well positioned for ferries, restaurants and bars but not noisy.
Polite staff who are available if required but not invasive.
Good breakfasts with plenty of variety and no shortages even towards the end of the breakfast period. We did not eat in the restaurant in the evening so cannot comment on this.
The only minor issue was there is no coffee or tea making facilities in the bedrooms but there is a minibar.
The swimming pool is lovely but cold in the autumn as it is not heated.

"Beautiful villa, great location, friendly staff!"
We visited Lake Como at the end of our trip to Italy and so glad we did! We were tired of the museums and crowds and the villa was such a wonderful place to relax at the end of our trip. The location was perfect close to the Botanical Gardens, restaurants, and the Ferry stop (convenient to take to Bellagio across the lake). The room was comfortable and beautiful and the breakfast was wonderful too, we could not have asked for a better stay!

Cadenabbia may lack the cachet of some more fashionable neighbouring resorts, but its agreeably sedate hotels enjoy views no less appealing from their vantage points above the Tremezzina waterfront. Here the lake is at its widest point with regular ferry services to Bellagio and Varenna. Long favoured by the British, its Anglican church dates from 1891. The lakeshore lido has a pleasant terrace café.
