"Will definitely return!"
Stayed in Phase 2, ground floor. Had end unit, so a LARGE lanai. Room was clean, only thing missing was washcloths. Either BYO or be prepared to ask more than once. We've run into this before, so we always bring our own. Shower was huge, water pressure great in our unit. A/C more than adequate.
Restaurants we tried were all exceptional:
Las Marias (Breakfast buffet) was standard, smaller than many but certainly adequate. Made to order omelets daily. Also could request menu but we never did. Coffee replenishing was very slow, usually had to ask. Even tho not crowded we saw a lot of waitstaff just standing around.
El Eden (Taqueria/Tequila Bar) - Food was very good, cooked in open kitchen next to bar. Bartenders not as fluent as other places.
Barolo (Italian-Mediterranean) FANTASTIC food-ate there twice. Try mushroom soup, fig bruscheta, seafood ravioli, burrata salad. If you get there early you may get Osso Buco,- delicious. Extremely good service.
Il Forno Pizza- Upstairs of Barolo - Wood fired pizzas, calzones, salads. Calzones ridiculously huge, too much for one person, size should definitely be more manageable. (wasteful) Pizzas yummy.
El Patio (Ceviche & sushi bar, Phase 1 Pool Bar) I can't say enough good things. The food is made in front of you - coconut shrimp, ceviche, fresh & YUM, guacamole plates, club sandwiches, Caesar salad, fries, burgers...all made FRESH, didn't see anything frozen.
Expansive resort-needs much better signage to find places.
