The Cabo Rojo lighthouse is conveniently located approximately 20 minutes away, and the world-famous bioluminescent bay in La Parguera is less than a 40 minute drive. The neighborhood Cabo Rojo, also known as the “Capital of the Seafood in Puerto Rico”, is the beach town preferred by locals when they want to enjoy a weekend of sun, sand, and a good time with friends and family. Located on the west coast of Puerto Rico, Cabo Rojo features one of the most naturally scenic landscapes in the country, including the panoramic Morrillos Lighthouse, with clear beaches, excellent hikes, and breathtaking sunsets. Some of the best beaches on the island are located in Cabo Rojo: Combate, Buyé, Boquerón, Playuela and Punta Arenas. For the outdoors-loving guests, the Monte Pirata Bike Park, one of the best trails in town for both mountain biking and hiking, is located just 3 miles from the villa. The road across is dangerous (cars flying by at all times, so keep the gate closed). The bedrooms are spacious and have AC units (very loud but better than the heat). The bathroom showers are in excellent condition, but the showers are a little tricky to get the hot water working. The kitchen is on the bottom floor (away from the bedrooms) and has everything you can think of, which is excellent. The owners are very demanding (they wanted a list of who was staying with their age months before the stay) and wanted to meet in person to "get to know" the renters. The owner showed up one day unannounced and dropped by another time during the week to exchange towels. At the end of the stay, they wanted us to wait for them to show up before departing the rental to look at the place; we couldn't stay due to a previous appointment, but we should have since I received an email confirmation from the insurance company that the owners claimed that we broke an item. They didn't notify us or send any communication or pictures; they just submitted the claim. ##### Javier N.
