Noisy position. Spacious and very central.

Pros: It was close to all the restaurants and shops.
Cons: Linen, electrical goods
Location: Great restaurants like Thai Lucy's, Gourmet Fish and Chips and Asia Joe's nearby. And a great ice-cream shop.
Only had one night here and was glad of that because it was a really noisy spot. Also the fan only worked on level three in our room and it was like being in a room with a helicopter so you could not use it. The TV and dvd player were impossible to use. The sheets were synthetic which I don't like- they are hot to sleep in, and the towels were threadbare. It was a little bit depressing. However, if you are going to Blues fest and just there to party it would be OK and fairly reasonably priced.

1970 Style house close to everything

Posted 12-Jul-2015 on Wotif
Had a wonderful holiday in Byron, the accommodation was close to everything but don't expect glitz and glamour! Was comfortable and a great beach house but only with the bare essentials. A chopping board or colander wouldn't have gone astray! TV stopped working on State Of Origin night and didn't get fixed before we left, which forced our kids to talk to us ;-) Would be a great spot for 3 groups as there are two other houses and a huge back yard.

Rip off

Posted 02-Jun-2015 on Wotif
We reached at night. Was extremely difficult to locate as the sign says Overnight Accomodation not SHirley beach houses. This name is painted on the window pane in black but there is no light on the sign . The bed was not made up and seemed as if it had not been made up since the last occupancy. The towels were ripped. I know it is a pet friendly accomodation but for the price service should have been better. No one answers the phone and one has to always leave a message . Saw no staff.

Pros: Enough room to stay for bunch of our friends, very private and independent place, would give five stars if only talking about experience.
Cons: Facilities are quite old, nothing special, doesn't even have a hair dryer...but it was bearable, still have a lovely experience though
