Nice hotel, the rooms could do with modernising, we did find it quite noisy, you can hear everything (thin walls)....

Just "no" .

Cons: I usually never complain, but seriously there was nothing positive about our stay here.. It was pretty disappointing.
Me and my family who came from overseas stayed there for 3 nights. We booked 2 months in advance just to make sure that everything was planned for the much awaited holiday! Two days before the check in we received and email apologizing that the pool during our stay would't be open due to maintenance work. When I told them that it wasn't fair to communicate something like this just 2 day prior the arrival, they responded that they could still cancel the reservation.. like "thank you, but how do you expect us to find accommodation for 4 people with just 2 days notice?" At the end of the story we had to confirm the reservation. Once there the check in consisted in: fill in this form > this is the key > your room is up the stairs. WOW that's what I call "customer service".. we were 4 people with 1 room key. We start looking for our room, once we found it and put our bags on the floor we tried to open the windows in the rooms to get some fresh air and they wouldn't get opened XD seriously? Ok, no worries I thought, there must be some trick to get them open, we'll go to the reception later. I'll go the the toilet first.. The light in the bathroom wouldn't turn on.......I couldn't believe it!! We had to use a torch in the bathroom..Sounds fun, but it was pretty annoying at that time! Things didn't improve throughout the stay. We also found out during the check out that there was a sauna while looking for a bathroom lol. That's NOT how you're supposed to sell your property!

Unfortunately yes our pool had to have mandatory Maintenance done on the day of your arrival. It was only out of use for one day, we thought it was polite to inform our guests before their arrival. For the electricity to work in the apartments the key would be inserted into the key entry at the main front door. We advertise all our facilities on all our sites and have an information book in all our rooms. We do apologize for you not enjoying your stay with us and have taken all your comments on board.

A great place to stay a few days

Posted 29-Oct-2015
Pros: Location - close to town/beach/cafes/bars/shops. Facilities - fridge, kettle, microwave, crockery provided, pool, spa/sauna. Large room. helpful staff
Cons: We found it a little noisy in the mornings - cleaners and people moving around in the corridor. The fridge/fan were also quite noisy
Location: The hotel is on the main street leading to the beach, about a 5-10 min walk. Supermarket, bottle shop, bars, cafes, shops all within easy reach.
We are a mid-30s British couple visiting Byron Bay. Spent 5 nights at this hotel and really enjoyed it. The location is great - just a short walk to the beach, cafes, shops, bars etc. Supermarket and bottle shop just a few doors down and yum burger bar next door. The lighthouse is a little further away, but we had no car an walked up there twice with no trouble Pool was great on one day as it was too windy on the beach. Spa & sauna worked well on an overcast & rainy day. Facilities in the room (fridge, kettle, crockery etc) was useful in keeping costs down - we had cereal in the room each morning. The room was large enough for bed, sofa, table. Plus reasonable sized shower room and a balcony. Our one bug-bear was that it was a bit noisy. Having said that, we would definitely stay again and thoroughly enjoyed our trip :)

Perfektes Hotel für einen Aufenthalt in Byron Bay

Posted 27-Oct-2015

Clean and tidy

Pros: Location.
Cons: Bedding was very uncomfortable. Pillows were awful and we wished we had taken our own. We had difficulty getting to sleep.
Location: Great location close to Byron main street.
Overall positive experience, not a bad place. Close to everything.

"resort" is not accurate.

It's old and very run down. The police were called. Need some serious upgrades. It's not a resort!!! The term is used very loosely.

lovely room overlooking pool. very noisy as situated at top of stairs from reception. no lift, so difficulty carrying heavy bag upstairs. easy parking right at the door. room was comfortable, but woke up covered in sandfly bites. no restaurant but excellent hamburger joint right next door.
