The home itself is well laid out and made it easy for everyone to relax and enjoy the space.We did arrive late (Tue, Mar 31 – Thu, Apr 2), and I want to specifically mention how helpful the local contact, Ericka, was. She waited for us and even flagged us down so we could find the property, which we truly appreciated after a long day of travel.One thing to be aware of is that getting there can be a bit challenging, especially at night. The host did send a pin, but we frequently lost phone signal in that area, which made navigation difficult. Having more detailed written directions ahead of time would have been very helpful.Other than that, everything was wonderful. The location is quiet, scenic, and feels like a true Costa Rica experience.We would definitely stay here again."

"We absolutely loved being immersed in the jungle, surrounded by nature! Nita and Marty have truly built a little paradise here. Incredibly responsive to communication and very helpful. Breakfasts were easily customizable and tasty. Room was clean and hosts made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend their B&B. The road to the property is a bit challenging, so I would suggest driving to it at least the first time in the daylight."

"The Retreat is gorgeous. The views of the Volcano and Lake are amazing. The pescatarian menu is perfect for vegetarians and pescatarians. All three meals are served. We did not have meals included but very much enjoyed dinner and breakfast there. The pocket sized gathering places are charming - slider over looking lake, dining room and reception, the separate lounge area with tea and coffee looking into the jungle. The evening walk was fun. The property is on the top of a very steep hill with accommodations running down the hill. A shuttle takes one up and down for yoga, however the hill is very steep and very long. With a reconstructed ankle I could not do it so was confined to the top of the hill which was beautiful. Also the resort is very hard to contact. Our arrival plans changed because of a missed connection and we had no phone number or email to let them know. "
