My family of 6 have just returned from a fabulous 10 days in Dubai. We stayed in an extremely spacious 3 bedroom apartment (1 Queen and 2 twin rooms). There was a spacious lounge, dining room, galley kitchen with door to the balcony (not the greatest view but didn't matter to us), a shower room and two bathrooms (one en-suite) as well as a laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer. The property is a 5 min walk from the nearest Metro station and a large supermarket and is close to plenty of shops and restaurants. The pool area is clean but as it is enclosed on all sides by the 7 storey building, it isn't in the sun all day.
The best bits: the staff are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. Salah, the lifeguard, gave us some great tips of things to do and Joshua, the concierge, organised four fabulous excursions. We went on the desert safari and on our way home, he called the driver to check we had had a good time. The apartment was very comfortable, beds were made every day and tea/coffee etc were replenished.
Could be improved: the bathrooms and kitchen could do with being refreshed as they were a little tired. A table and chairs for the balcony would be a good addition.
PLEASE NOTE: the check-in information on Expedia is wrong - you don't need to check-in at Golden Sands 3 as Golden Sands 10 has its own reception desk. We arranged our airport transfer to 3, then had to spend AED25 on two taxis to take us to 10.
