The rooms are preserved with historic looks. The bed and bathrooms are upgraded to latest style. But rest of the place is historic. We enjoyed the entire stay. Also the location is walkable distance to all shops and Dubai museum.
Older property but well maintained with good service. Restaurant and breakfast could be better but OK. Staff was very helpful. Convenient place to stay at reasonable price. Close to Bur Juman metro station with many restaurants nearby.
Brand new state of the art 4 star luxury hotel with spacious and superbly appointed guest rooms with lavish finishings bestow …More
Well just returned yesterday . The hotel is a 5* star hotel in terms of the rooms , decore ect. The breakfast around 15£ person but worth it very nice and a good variety . Location was good and taxis at the entrance . Would cost 10£ metered taxi to get central Dubai . Airport 20 mins away.
Negative points now:
At start I booked hotel airport transfer for 125 AED per car. And they booked 2 cars so 250 they wanted . On arrival we stayed 1 hour looking for their transfer guy and no sign of him so we took private 1 big 7 seater taxi for only 50 AED. Then after arrival we found out they still wanted to charge us transfer fees as the driver was waiting in an office in the airport . When no one said where to find him . However , after a chat they cancelled the fee. So I don't advise booking hotel transfer lot of money . Then they requested money in advance to use mini bar ect incase we use them !!!!!! I refused to pay as that looked they don't trust me and always we pay after not before in other hotels !!! After another chat they cancelled that fee and locked the mini bar . Now that wasn't 5* service after all . However , rest is good still enjoyed my stay but I won't return . We want 5 Star service too not just building .
The main administrative and shopping district, Bur Dubai contains some of Dubai's oldest buildings. Bastakiya is a carefully restored 'heritage quarter' of narrow alleys and courtyard houses cooled by wind-towers. Sheikh Maktoum's House (now a museum) is a fine example of 19th-century Arabian architecture. The nearby Dubai Museum offers a succinct account of the Emirate's history, while the Heritage & Diving Village recreates its maritime past.
