The hotel staff is very courteous, hotel is located very near metro & has a good range of restaurants nearby & a convenience store as well. Rooms are a bit smaller compared to hotels (same price range) but it's on the main road and thus more easier to get taxis. Restobar, swimming pool, & other inhouse facilities are ok. Has a view to Burj Khalifa from rooms balcony. Wouldn't mind staying in this hotel again. & yes, the hotel management should introduce a ramp at main entrance, as their bellboys have to handle (pick) the luggage on stairs which I didn't like & can be improved.
Only a short stay but once again an excellent one, and again upgraded to a club room. Had minor issues with the room, tv kept switching off and the curtains closed when the door was closed. I reported these to maintenance and what is most important, the issues were very quickly addressed and fixed. Further very minor issue, no Kirin beer in Crossroads bar, but the Italian beer was also very good and the first one on the house.
Had afternoon tea in the lounge also excellent. All staff are so willing to help without exception, there is no doubt in my mind this is the only hotel to sty in Dubai.
Loved it. Loved it. Loved it. When entering the hotel the first vision is the red-carpeted staircase rising elegantly to the next level. Look to your right and there's a handsome lounge area for resting after your tired flight, or enjoying a reviving tea or coffee or delicious meal. Enter your room and you see a spacious area with quality furnishings arranged with thought for comfort. A spacious bathroom and wardrobe are an unexpected bonus to add to a very comfortable stay. The included buffet breakfast includes a vast range of hot and cold dishes, all delicious, and if you're inclined, you can order an omelette of your choice freshly made. The staff - reception, bell boys, concierge - are all friendly and accommodating to your every wish and prompt in doing anything you ask them to.
Dubai overall was a wonderful experience but staying at the Royal Ascot Hotel made the experience so much more extra-special. If you plan to visit Dubai (and after this first experience we plan to come again) then do stay at the Royal Ascot Hotel.
We stayed there 4 nights stop over, not far from the airport and main shopping centres.
Because our dollar is so low we had to shop around for food,we couldn't justify $40 per person per day just for breakfast.
Maybe next time.
Also they charge for wifi , very strange to charge for wifi in Dubai hotels.
Not a bad hotel.
Very pleasant check-in process done by Raphael at the front desk. Comfortable room, with appreciated plate of fresh fruits delivered.
Clean and comfortable rooms with good restaurants, but did not try them.
Close to airport.
excellent value for money, rooms easily worth around 200U$ whereas we got for 120$ considering its a five star hotel, marvellous location for going anywhere in Dubai, friendly neighbourhood with restaurants, supermarket, metro, money changer, metro station all nearby. one small market by the name Lamcy Plaza is 7min walk, starbucks and bank in hotel premises, and WAFI city (big mall) also near.
hotel ambience is very nice and coffee shop buffet spread and Indian restaurant are world class. concierge, reception and house keeping were extremely helpful and this would be my recommendation to all who are looking for a hotel around 150-200U$
The main administrative and shopping district, Bur Dubai contains some of Dubai's oldest buildings. Bastakiya is a carefully restored 'heritage quarter' of narrow alleys and courtyard houses cooled by wind-towers. Sheikh Maktoum's House (now a museum) is a fine example of 19th-century Arabian architecture. The nearby Dubai Museum offers a succinct account of the Emirate's history, while the Heritage & Diving Village recreates its maritime past.
