"The hosts obviously put a lot of thought into providing for guests, with eggs, bacon, bread, milk, condiments, tea and coffee and a bottle of prosecco there on arrival. There was also an ample supply of kindling and logs for the wood burner. As it was winter, we didn't make any use of the garden but it looked very inviting given warmer weather.There is a smart Sky Glass TV in the living room providing a wide range of viewing options and also a TV in the main bedroom. Very warm and comfy throughout. In addition, a dog friendly cottage at no extra charge, with bowls and doggy treats provided.There is a small wooded area close by ideal for a morning dog walk but the duck shooting going on by the nearby lake area was a but off putting for our dog. We found there was a lot of shooting around this area of Suffolk, probably seasonal.There is no local shop so come prepared. We thoroughly recommend the local pub, the Black Swan, less than a minute's walk away which is dog friendly and does excellent food."

"We had a lovely weekend in the Shepherd's hut. Very cosy. It is in a very rural position but only a short drive from Beccles and Bungay- we loved the foodie shops in Bungay and the on-site farm shop. It was great to pop out in the morning to grab still warm eggs from the chicken coop, and the goats and piglets kept us thoroughly amused. A really relaxing stay."

"Possibly the best cottage with a hot tub that we’ve rented in the past 20+ years. Lovely welcome pack and lovely welcoming hosts (who live 30 mins away). Comfortable, secluded, spacious, clean - what’s not to like?“All mod cons†- it even has remote control candles!!"

"We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Suffolk; lovely cosy and warm cottage with a welcoming atmosphere; full of character and well equipped, perfect for the three of us (parents and one adult son). Quiet area with stunning views and lots of birds in the secluded garden. The prosecco was a nice extra touch along with milk in the fridge on arrival for a cup of tea! Thanks"
