Excelente opción cerca de todo
Excelente opción para estar cerca de todo y llegar caminando a puntos de interés, como Obelisco, Casa Rosada, Puerto Madero, microcentro. Muy buenas habitaciones, amplias y cómodas. Destaco la higiene impecable. El personal de recepción amable. El desayuno es básico pero rico todo. Deberían cambiar las tostadoras ya que no funcionan. En los alrededores hay buenos lugares para comer y tomar algo. A pocas cuadras de llegada de Buquebus, se puede ir caminando sin problema. Recomiendo y volvería.

The property is conveniently located.The hotel arranged for private transportation to the airport; invoiced through the hotel. The rate was in excess of a taxi fare to the destination.

It was very clean... just outdated a bit.. and one thing that I really didn’t like.. the mini bugs(cockroaches) coming from the bathroom ceiling. I killed 5 of them... then they stopped coming down... they realized that their brothers and sisters weren’t coming back... but overall, it’s nice for a 1 night stay. The reception staff are amazing 5 stars!

Excellent value property
This is an older style property but I found the room comfortable and quiet. Smart furnishings, though the bathroom was a little bit old. Breakfast was "ok" and similar to other South American hotels. The staff were efficient but not overly friendly. The location is excellent for the centre of town. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and it was excellent value for the price paid

Great location with BIG room for improvement.
Great location, friendly staff and really comfortable beds, however the hotel is in need of upgrade. The housekeeping need attention as well - the glasses- both in the bathroom and coffee corner were stained from previous guest ( toothpaste and lipstick marks! ), half used bar of soap left in the bathtub, the carpet was pretty stained as well. The poor cleaning standards spoiled one of the best sleeps in the Lafayette during our stay in BA.

Excellent location, but honestly it is more for Europeans than North Americans because of the shower. If you use a hand wand to shower you will be okay. They have bidets. They have Australian type electrical sockets, but a couple will also take European style. Easily walkable from the ferry.

Comfortable stay
Nice stay within budget. Clean and comfortable, some aged carpets in the hallway, but good choice for a stay in the city center.

I'm sure this was a very fine, upscale hotel in it's day. It is still quite nice but showing some wear in the bathrooms and carpets. It is also pretty close to shopping on Florida Street or at the Pacifico Mall. There is no dining room or room service during the weekend, or with very restricted hours. All in all, we didn't mind the stay at all and it is a good value but it is not a four star hotel any longer. As graceful as she is, the old girl is showing her age.

Dont go to this hotel and waste your money
Worse reception ever. We arrived at the front desk to checkin and the staff welcomes us with a very rude "Si" (why are you even here tone). None of the staff speaks english well. Communication was a big issue, bad breakfast, issues with A/C, slow internet, list goes on...never again to this hotel

The hotel was nice, in a good location. Check-in was easy. The man at the front desk spoke some English. Not everyone spoke English so sometimes communication was difficult. The elevator stopped working on the first night we were there. We took the stairs up and down to the 3rd floor the whole next day and evening. On Sunday morning we realized that there was another elevator down the hall that we could have used. It would have been nice if they had pointed that out to us. Other than that, the room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was good with assorted pastries, fruits, juices, coffee, tea, scrambled eggs, some kind of meat and cheese.

Calling it air conditioned is a bit of a stretch. They seemed to have lost record of my booking (and paying) through hotels.com, and they botched my wakeup call, which caused some pain. The lobby is impressive and the room itself wasn't bad aside from being hot and there being a peculiar smell

Walking distance to many sights. We visited the Avenue Florida and saw tango demonstrations there at a street crossing. Also walked to the Puerto Madero area, the Plaza des Armes and the market stalls beyond.inLa Boca. There was a grocery store across the street. We enjoyed the breakfast buffets and appreciated the assistance various staff provided about routes, internet access and the air conditioning system.

Good, economy hotel in downtown Buenos Aires
Overall, a nice hotel in an ultra-central location. Walking distance from many of Buenos Aires attraction. So, a good "bang for your buck". Also they recommended an outstanding Argentinian steak restaurant :Las Nazarennas(not sure spelling is correct) where we had a taste of the great Argentinian grill tradition. The breakfast (included) was substantial and good quality. As a negative, there was a rhythmic noise in our room that we could hear during the day, starting early in the morning until late afternoon. I'm quite sure it was external. It was like a loud "puff" every seconds, enough to annoy a more sensitive ear...

Great hotel on week days, The area is very busy. Close to all the things you want to do. On weekends the area is deserted. They do not put thetables & chairs outside on the weekends? Room is very clean & a good room. Front desk speaks very little english & is not interested in you.

The guy on the desk spoke little English so communication when checking-in was difficult. Similarly booking a taxi at the front desk required assistance from another guest. Even though it was just after 6pm the hotel bar was closed so we had to go out for drink. The room was fine and the breakfast was very good.

Very Good Hotel but a bit noisy
I liked the hotel itself. Some furniture and appearance is a bit dated but nothing that worried me. It is in a very good location close to the main tourist strip of Florida street and a few other attractions. We were walkable to Puerto Madero (10-15 minutes) and other sites. Breakfast was good enough with some eggs, ham, cheese, pastries, cereal, toast, coffee, fruit and yogurt drinks. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Free WiFi worked well for me -- I could Skype back to North America with no problems. If there is one negative, it was that I had a room facing the street so it was a bit noisy at times.

Hotel is in heart of Buenus Aires. It was clean and safe, staff friendly. Had some issues with tv and A/C. Staff came and fixed problems promptly. I would rate hotel as high average.

It is ok to sleep only.
It is very close to the main attractions and downtown area, but the area is not too safe, have to be very careful especially at night. Rooms are ok, bathroom is very small. Not very friendly.

Worst experience in Argentina
Do not trust this hotel, we had booked and paid and when we arrived the told us they were full. It was 10:00pm on a saturday and they said that expedia had not sent them anything. Even though we had the confirmation on our phone. They then did nothing to help us, nothing.

Nice place in the middle of Buenos Aires centre
Nice place, nice people, very close to places you must visit, 3 blocks away from subway (subte) station, 2 blocks far from main pedestrian street Florida, take care at night (after 8 pm). Breakfast was included in my package, it was OK but it could be better, if yoy spend more than 3 days you can get bored of the same breakfast. Prices are OK. Hotel People was very helpful, they provide you with information of any kind to solve your inquiries. I got a tripple room (#116) it was good enough. At night I got some food in the restaurant and was OK also.

Great hotel in the center of Buenos Aires
Stayed 1 night with a friend in Lafayette Hotel and had a really good time. The location is perfect right in the center of the shopping district and within walking distance to some of the main highlights in Buenos Aires like the waterfront, the pink palace and San Telmo. The rooms are quite spacious and the beds really comfortable - so think this is really good value for money.

The staff were very pleasant and the hotel was very nice. Breakfast was included and was very good. We did have dinner there one evening when we were tired and that meal was more mediocre. We did take a 2 day side trip to Iguazu and the hotel was very agreeable about keeping our excess luggage during that time.

Great location, very clean and nice.
The hotel was very clean and nice, and a great location. The staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast was alwo very nice. We stayed here two days at the beginning of our vacation and came back for three days at the end. The only issue the second stay was the noise between rooms made it difficult at times to sleep.
