The room was very clean and tidy, staff was awesome, specially German, the barman and waiter at night in the restaurant. The pool was too small for swimming and we came in summer, so water was too hot.

There was some problem with the elevators where it stopped and opened its doors at every floor when going down. I was on the 7th floor and needed to go down twice, so this was time-consuming and uncomfortable with multiple guests inside also waiting to reach the lobby, and other guests trying to enter the elevator (which was too full at each floor). In my room, the keycard holder next to the door was loose/not affixed to the wall. Even after I placed my keycard inside, I couldn't turn on the electricity in my room. I managed to shower/prepare for bed using my own flashlight, but I couldn't charge my phone or other devices during my stay. The room itself was about 2-star level. The common areas (reception, breakfast) looked fancier, around 3-star level. The staff and service were very good -- I was able to store my luggage with them after checkout, and I was also able to exchange USD for pesos at a favorable rate without needing to go to an exchange office.

The rooms are worn out, walls need paint, bathrooms are patched up tiles and caulking smears over, in one world rooms need to be renovated. Plus there are bugs in the rooms

The 'gym' was no way a gym, nothing like the picture. There were no free weights, only one poor quality treadmill that worked out of 2,the 2 bikes didn't work, the TV didn't turn on, the room was poorly lit and tile floor so you couldn't lie down to do any abs or stretches, hopeless. The pool and pool area was not like the picture. The bathroom basin was not so clean and the breakfast was basic. No yoghurt or anything hot other than eggs, only 1 juice, coffee cold, no fresh fruit only apple. The front desk staff and dining staff where nice enough and we slept OK but certainly not as good as we expected.

Hotel is good value for money. The front desk and housekeeping is excellent. Breakfast is good but can get very crowded. The bathrooms are tired. The perfect area.

Not quite a 4 star hotel
The lobby design is ultra luxe and gives the impression of a 5 star. My executive room however was more 3-4 star, spartan, facing a building without any sunlight and the bathroom in need of a renovation. Breakfast had options but not that tasty. Service excellent throughout though. Massage was from a lovely old lady who knew what she was doing but too gentle for my taste.

The Hotel is old, pour renovated, the breakfast their served in the morning it is terrible, chip and very bad distribute .

Great location!
A helpful staff made this a memorable trip. The front desk helped arrange many outings for us and gave helpful suggestions of things to do. The hotel is small but has everything you need with a very personal touch.

OK....
Very helpful reception - good source of info and use them if you need to book a cab. Good location for getting around BA on foot. Breakfast is a bit of a scrum with everyone arriving at once - expect the wifi to fail at such busy times. Room decor a little tired and the lighting meant you were in the dim and gloom most of the time. Overall, a fair hotel - nit great but it does the job.

hardly any natural light in the rooms (facing onto a light shaft about 2x2m wide, so you have direct view into neighbors room 2 m away, also given that it's quiet a high building you can imagine how little light comes in), few and very weak lamps only in room, tiny bathroom (you have to turn sideways to get into the shower as there is otherwise no space)...and I would have probably put up with that but after three days of every day being told that the next day the pool might be ope again I lost patience and checked out...which caused a lengthy debate with the very unpleasant receptionist who clearly had never heard of customer service (and on two previous days his similarly inept colleagues did not even know the pool/spa were closed). Average breakfast, not a single non-spanish TV channel, two tiny lifts for only 3 people at a time each for the whole hotel, rooms in poor state of repair, basically there was just nothing even vaguely pleasant about this place that claims to have 4 stars. Avoid!

Good location, very friendly staff.
We arrived earlier than the check-in time and they allowed us to have our room, which was very convenient after a long flight. The staff was very friendly and everyone spoke English well. The hotel needs some upgrades but is located in a good area, with a lot to do around the hotel.

Our experience was terrible. -The phone didn't work, I couldn't make or receive local calls -Pieces of the wood floor were missing, I could see the subfloor. -The toilet was overflowing -One of the sink leg was 6" away of toilet front. Ridiculous!!!, I couldn't seat properly. -I asked for the manager, they ignored me.

Great Location but that's ALL
The location was great , I was pretty disappointed tho over all.We were their in a hot time but their was a TINY, tiny not working great a/c in lobby so the lobby was litterly always 87-95 degrees with no fans or circulating air.Was extremely uncomfortable .Never at any time in the restraunt or front desk did their ever appear to be a supv or some one charge .Staff was cordial and polite enough but seemed over worked and under supported .The room it's self was ok BUT the A/C didn't work properly and honestly it was miserably hot the entire stay , was difficult to sleep and rest properly due to the extreme heat .The bathroom was dated and had a lot of mold in places especially the ceiling .Im not 1 to give a bad review and try to be objective but I would not recommend staying here .

Nice place to stay in Recoleta
We ended up booking this hotel over a coffee - Johnny on the spot, great bang for money. Thought it wasn't a five star experience it was more than adequate and facilities were above average for most Buenos Aires' places. What really set this place apart was the outstanding staff and service. The other plus about this hotel is that its just around the corner from one of Baires' legendary pizza restaurant - El Cuartito.

Nice hotel in a good location
The staff was very courteous and helpful. The check in was fast, they were available to give us directions and they also call a taxi for us. The room was small--we were 4 and we requested 2 queen beds when we reserved this hotel, but got 1 queen bed and 2 tween beds instead that were smaller than the average American, but were comfortable. The restaurant was clean, spacious, and the staff there was friendly. We only ate dessert at night,and I would recommend to try the "flan" which is a delicious custard like Argentinean dessert that comes with "dulce de leche". At breakfast there was a good variety to chose from fresh fruit, eggs, breads, brownies, cakes, etc. coffe, milk, tea, and of course, there were Argentinean pastry and "mate cocido"--Yerba mate to infuse and drink as a tea. We didn't try the pool or the gym. The hotel is in a good location, in a relatively safe neighborhood, and close to the busy Avenida Callao And Santa Fe streets that have plenty of restaurants and shops of any kind. I didn't rate this hotel as excellent because the shower didn't have a curtain or a full slide door but had a small Fiberglas panel, and the rooms floor weren't the cleanest, but I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants a hotel in a safe neighborhood, that likes to walk as we did, and wants to avoid a hotel in downtown.

Great Value and Friendly Staff
Very friendly staff that always say hi. The staff will make sure your stay is pleasurable by assisting any of your needs - the wi-fi wasn't working in my room so they brought up a router for my personal use to finsh my work.
