Well located hotel. Good value for money.

Short stay in a small but neat and clean room. I paid a superior room for a few dollars. It was a wise decision; the room I was allocated was in the eighth floor with a wonderful view, reaching to Río de la Plata.

Nothing fancy but just right.

Posted 08-Nov-2016
Location: This is THE main reason for staying at this hotel. It's in the Obelisco area, right in the heart of downtown Buenos Aires.
No thing fancy. Just right if you're willing to adapt to the fact that this is not the USA, but perhaps one of the most exciting cities in South America today. Think of an average Paris 1960 hotel but with Wi-Fi!! Everything is clean, neat and works. The hotel restaurant offers wonderful Argentinian style food. Try chicken, or steak milanese style.

Great location near Obelisco

Posted 19-Oct-2016
I have previously stayed here, but I chose this once again due to combination of good value and great location within walking distance of many of the sights for my retired parents. Tourist bus stop not far as well as plenty of good restaurants. Breakfast reasonable and specification very good for price. No problem recommending this place, and no doubt if I return to BA I will try and stay there again.

Nice Hotel in the Heart of Buenos Aires

Posted 02-Mar-2016
Pros: The staff was very helpful.
Cons: It would be nice to have ice in the small room refrigerators.
Location: Within brisk waling distance of Plaza Mayo, Congress Plaza, and the Pacific Galleries. Nearby Sube lines take you to most attractions.
Bristol was a reasonable hotel close to the heart of Buenos Aires. It was near the metro lines and within brisk walking distance of attractions such as Plaza Mayo. Also close to the first stop of the city tourist bus. The staff was very helpful, especially the English speaking ones.

an OK hotel but we wouldn't go back

Posted 08-Feb-2016 on Hotels
this was our second stay - we were quite happy after the first one but thought this was more like a three star. the a/c wasn't very efficient either. on this occasion the staff were exceptionally helpful as before and our stored cases were taken to our room. check in a bit of a problem as we had cancelled a two night stay and substituted a single night due to flight change - all eventually sorted out. got to nice room with obelisk view but couldn't make a/c work. maid also tried without success and phoned reception who told us "electricity off - using temporary generators - hope to be back on by 7pm" so we went shopping and got back at 6.30 electricity still off so I spoke to street engineers who told us "it should be back by 10pm but that's not certain - the whole block is off" with temperatures at 38 centigrade we took the decision to book a hotel opposite as an insurance in the event it came back on around 11pm this is a nice old fashioned hotel but it needs updating (particularly the bathroom and a/c which wasn't great) we normally stay in a 4* nearby whose a/c is also unreliable but wouldn't go back to the Bristol it is ok

A functional downtown hotel

We wanted a hotel for overnight stays as we went off to Colonia and Iguazu. The Bristol was perfect.
