The parking was convenient to carry stuff in and out of the vehicle. The kitchen was near enough unusable, the job and oven are very very old. A funny smell from the oven and the hob did work but barely. We had to give up with eating at the cottage due to this. Overall the property was clean however having a little one whose toys go everywhere, between the cushions on the sofa was filthy! I would still definitely recommend and would return. Good have done with a bit more information about how things work in the cottage, couldn’t get all of the radiators to work and was quite confusing what waste went into what bin/bag. A dish washer would be useful but we went back to the good old washing up after every meal. A hot tub would be a nice finishing touch but again didn’t detract from the holiday. The cottage is well located with Widemouth Bay and Bude being very easily accessible. You can’t really walk anywhere from the cottage and are car dependent as the road is fast and has no footpaths. The garden is a really good size and pleasant to sit in but the garden furniture could do with some attention, the bench table is pretty wobbly! There is a plastic table and chairs piled up in a corner but it was very dirty and we didn’t fancy spending our holiday cleaning it! The house is fine but could really do with some decent hard flooring to replace the carpets in the lounge, hall and dining area. It also needs decluttering, there are so many Knick knacks everywhere! It is generally well furnished and comfortable but some of the old pieces of furniture could do with removing they are so unnecessary (3 chairs in the upstairs bedroom!). We were very fortunate and had super weather, so enjoyed the beach at Widemouth Bay and explored the whole area.
