Veraltetes Wellnesshotel mit gutem Spabereich

Posted 25-Aug-2016
Spabereich kostete Aufpreis.

Tende parzialmente strappate). La spa é un plus molto apprezzabile.

Prettig en comfortabel hotel

Posted 05-Aug-2016
Pros: Mooi hotel, comfortabel

Formula 1 Racing Delight

Posted 02-Aug-2016
Pros: Executive floor amenities; location; price
Cons: Restaurant staffing; staff attitude towards guests; efficiency of front desk staff
Location: Margaret Island, Danube boat cruises, Aquincum Museum
We selected the hotel because it was near the free buses to the Formula One race. It was a pleasant, though long, walk across the bridge. The hotel is near Margaret Island which must be visited if you're in Budapest. The free transport service at the hotel takes you and picks you up from the Parliament Building three times a day; reservations are required. Staying on the Executive Floor was wonderful; breakfasts were served in a special area on the floor. The Executive area was staffed and had snacks available (think heavy hors d'oeuvres) all day long. There was a nice restaurant on the main floor, but we would not eat there again. The service is slow; the waiter and manager told us the tip was not included on the bill so we tipped and found out after checking the receipt that the tip was included. And, yes, we did alert hotel management and chose not to return to the restaurant again. The front desk staff are professional, but not friendly.

Good mid range hotel, not 5* as advertised but ok.

Posted 27-Jul-2016
Pros: Spa is excellent, restaurant (A la carte) is excellent.
Cons: Bathroom could do with some bleach, other than that it is a very pleasant hotel
Location: Aquincum location, nearby nothing!!
Good mid range hotel, not 5* as advertised but good value. Most staff very keen to please, service charge added to everything except room rate. Very good restaurant but with slightly restrictive menu. Half board menu ridiculous, 8 meal choices and you've got to have all 3 of THEIR choices, not starter from No. 4, main from 5, desert from 6 (as I wanted.) Struggled for 2 days to get them to zip the twin beds together and put 1 king size sheet and duvet, gave up after that. Overall, not bad, just not particularly good. Too far from town centre although taxis plentiful and cheap. Being Grand Prix weekend taxis took advantage if you were going to the circuit, hotels as usual inflated their prices. Budapest is incredible, will be back but city centre hotel next time.

Nice Hotel... Poor Service (for the most part)

Posted 19-Jul-2016
Pros: Spa facilities... though charging £5 to use a towel, and then charging it back to your credit card (1 hour later) is ridiculous. The room was nice.
Cons: Shower head needed good clean or replacement. Reception staff be more helpful.
Location: there is a tram station a few minutes walk away - from there you can get tram and then train into town. Park near by.
Given down-graded room with twinbeds - when booking was for king bed.. room changed.. to queen bed.. free shuttle cancelled without notice or warning - then on the next day when told would not be on... hotel is far from city - easy enough to get to by public transport - but takes about an hour. Hotel itself is clean and rooms were cleaned daily. Other than one shift of staff (one lady was very good) the staff were not helpful and just kept saying they were sorry - but did not offer any solutions. Hotel wants to charge everything to your credit card and will then give it back, but if you tell them that's not acceptable they do agree - but assume you want to pay them a deposit of 30 euros per night in advance - so wanted 120 euros from me - (even though room was already fully paid for). Nice spa facilities... but no bookings available until 4 days later... considering most guests don't stay for that long... this was annoying - and then when the reception staff rang to book a free complimentary 25 min massage due to all the problems - they suddenly had 3 booking times free (none of which I was able to make, as I was leaving the next day)... I got a free drink for all my troubles! Reception staff for the most did not seem to want to help - often standing around - while one person actually dealt with the customers... 2 others just stood there.
