Nice hotel

Really nice hotel, 30-40 mins from the thick of things Only have to catch the 1 tram to m3 underground Nice swimming pools especially the heated ones

ups and downs hotel

Pros: Nothing stood out it was defiantly not a 5 star hotel though
Cons: Some of that staff attitude and I think it could do with updating
Location: Not a lot really out the way it cost between 2800 and 5000 HUF in a taxi to Budapest city (beautiful city)
We originally where given a room that had been occupied and not cleaned but when we went back to reception the reception staff member was really apologetic. First night we where given burnt food and then after waiting 1 hour for one of our parties food we asked for that food to be refunded to which the staff just walked away and hide eventually we got a refund but the rest of the evening the 2 female members of staff 1 inarticulate ignored us and wouldn't serve us and the other served us with out a smile as if it was an effort. On our last night the staff where wonderful really helpful and cheerful. I was asham the first night was so bad I could have packed my case and come home that night. We also booked the shuttle bus to take us in to the city it didn't turn up and we had already been to ask where it stopped only to be told when we went back to inquire where it was that it had been cancelled

Good Business Hotel

The hotel itself is great, rooms clean and comfortable and generally the staff are really helpful. The only problem is trying to check in and check out which for some reason seems to be a problem.

Feels dated

Pros: Staff were very pleasant and efficient when we requested a new mattress & that the lack of hot water in the room and broken radiator should be fixed.
Cons: Feels dated and in need of a redesign.
Location: 3 station stops from the the centre of Buda. Not much to do nearby but we did find a couple of perfectly decent restaurants.
The hotel is 3 station stops from the centre of Buda. It is quiet but all feels a bit dated and in need of a revamp. Terrible squishy mattress was quickly changed for a decent one when I asked and problems with a broken radiator (the room was always too hot) within minutes of asking, so staff were as helpful as could be. Breakfast was disappointing, food not great and we had to hunt round the buffet for every ingredient and piece of crockery and cutlery. The dining room manager was clearly under stress and we only tried it once out of the 4 mornings there. We ate at a more pleasant central cafe. We had paid for a river view from our room, but it was not worth it as all we could really see was a busy road, a railway line and the dirty and cluttered engineering site of a nearby bridge. Spa facilities were OK but again all felt a bit tired and out of date.

Great value stay in Greater Budapest

Pros: The spa fed by water piped from one of the hot springs, plenty of facilities and good transport links. Staff were friendly and helpful and the massages superb.
Cons: Compared to our last stay 4 years ago the breakfast didn't seem quite as good, particularly the porridge was cold or thin on occasions. Overall the breakfast buffet choices are still pretty good value but this was a shame. Also there was no way of turning the heating off in our room and it got pretty hot. The jacuzzi was also out of service for a couple of days.
Location: Ideal for exploring Margit's island and nearby Roman ruins of Aquincum and only a couple of minutes' walk from the nearest H5 train stop into town.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit tollem Spa

The Aquincum Hotel Budapest ist ein im Inneren in freundlichen Farben gestaltetes, stilvolles Hotel in der Nähe der Margareteninsel mit ebenso freundlichem und hilfsbereiten Personal. Highlight ist meines Erachtens der beeindruckende Pool-Bereich mit zwei Thermalbecken, einem Swimming Pool und einem Whirlpool. Leider ist die Spa-Nutzung in vielen Angeboten nicht inkludiert und kostet ca. € 12,--/Person/Tag. Äußerst günstig sind hingegen die Massagen. Die Standardzimmer sind in ebenso ästhetisch und hell wie das Hotel insgesamt. Hervorzuheben ist das sehr bequeme Bett. Leider hat Housekeeping bei der Zimmerreinigung Kleinigkeiten übersehen, insgesamt war das Zimmer aber sauber.

Budapest rocks!!

Pros: Loved the thermal bath/Spa facilities!!.
Cons: My room's heating system was not working. I requested the hotel maintenance to look at it but they did not do anything. Negative experience.
Location: Location is great!. It is located near in Buda near Margit Island and just a quick train ride to the city center.
It was a satisfying experience overall. My only complaint was the heating system not working in my room. Other than this, it is a very nice hotel.

Prima kamers.

Pros: De spa.
Cons: Ontbijtruimte. Niet zo gezellig maar prima ontbijt hoor. Jammer dat koffie uit automaat komt.
Location: Beetje buiten de stad maar metrostation vlakbij en dus goede verbinding naar centrum.
Goede en ruime kamers. Netjes en schoon. Goede bedden (tenminste niet zulke harde matrassen en lekker zachte kussens). Ook geen geluidsoverlast. Kortom, zeer tevreden.

dejligt hotel med mange faciliteter

Pros: Det hele
Cons: Et engelskkursus til nogle af receptionisterne
Location: Beliggenhed dejlig. Mange museer i nærheden
Det er et godt hotel med kun 200 m til offentlig transport i alle retninger og ind til centrum. Fin beliggenhed med udsigt til Donau. Mange faciliteter og gratis spa, pool, termalbassiner og sauna på hotellet. God service

Nice hotel

Location: The hotel was further from the centre of town than I had expected. it is close to bus and tram stops to get you in quickly.
Really friendly staff who were happy to help. Very close to Margaret island, which is a lovely place to walk around.
