It purports to be a Five Star Hotel - it is not!
The hotel, while quite comfortable, lacks many of the "comforts" one should reasonably expect from a Five Star hotel. The room was fairly basic and not overly spacious, and the bathroom was quite "cramped". Having had occasion to move one of the bed-side tables, there was a sweet paper and old peanut shells down the back!
In the literature it was stated that the Apicius Restaurant was open every evening for Dinner - this was not the case! Most nights during our week's stay, it was closed. The only alternative offered was the a la Carte menu served virtually in the hotel lobby where there was no atmosphere whatsoever, and with other guests sitting in lounge chairs in the lobby on mobile phones and others engaged in quite loud conversation immediately adjacent to the "dining" area. Very disappointing!
The hotel was very busy with bus tours and conferences all of whom seemed to take priority over other guests, again something not expected in a Five Star establishment.
