It's not a modern hotel but if you're not expecting that then it's fine. Clean and functional. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly; bar staff not so much. No wi-fi in room. Good location with tram line just up the road, walking to centre was 20 mins. Easy and quick check in and out.

The attitude of staff - very rude bell boy - playing on his tablet and was almost bothered that we asked to call a taxi for us. The breakfast wasn’t so great , same stuff every day pretty boring and not many variety . We will not go back there again

Pretty big hotel, but things ran smoothly, and the staff was great. The breakfast was nice, albeit really crowded, everyday. The fitness facilities downstairs are excellent for a hotel. The beds were a little stiff. Overall I had a good stay. Danubius is within a couple minutes walking distance from a few tram lines and about a 5-7 min walk from M4 Móricz Zsigmond Körtér. Budapest's public transportation is extremely cheap and has very good coverage once you figure out the lines.

Not 4 star hotel
This is not a 4 star hotel. Needs really upgrade. Breakfast OK, but the same every morning. I came when it was raining and there were som leaves from the trees stuck om my suitcase that fell on the carpet in the room. That was not cleaned for the 4 days I stayed. Old hotel with bad smell in the room. Bathroom needs upgrade.

Location ideal to get around. Reception staff unhelpful when requesting info on airport transfer.NO answer from 3 staff so caught public transport. I have travelled extensively in recent years (at least4 or 5 times a year) this was the WORST example of customer service that I have experienced.

A piece of my clothes was stolen from my room. Hotel staff didnt give care, didnt even apologize and behaved in a real irresponsible way. Staff in general are not friendly

You have contacted with us on spot regarding the mentioned clothes, and our reception desk and Houskeeping Manager also tried to help you. Our Housekeeping Manager met you personally and asked you, how can we help you. The information what she received, that you are not sure, that the clothes was missing or just forgotten to bring it with you. Against this, we have investigated the case, double checked the room and chambermaid, but nothing found. I am sorry, that we did not find your clothes, but stealing was not proved at the hotel. I am so sorry, that you identify this inconvenience with our hotel.

Comfortable hotel, decent location
Very reasonable hotel for a sensible price. Convenient location a short walk away from tram and bus stops. Restaurants and cafes within easy walk. Staff friendly and helpful. Would happily stay here again.

Unique mediterranian feel in a quiet area if Buda away from the crowds in front of a lively green park with a lake. Close to Buda hill trails up to the citadella lookout and the Gellert Spa.

The amenities and service at this hotel were first class. The hotel itself was older, but it was clean and well serviced. We enjoyed the workout room, sauna, and swimming pool. We did not try the restaurant. We left our bags with the porter before and after our stay. I would definitely recommend the Danubius Hotel Flamenco!

THE ROOM, BATHROOM WERE OLD & DIRTY BUT ABOVE ALL THE MATTRESS WAS YELLOW, RED & BROWN ON BOTH SIDES, THE FIRST NIGHT I COULD SMELL URINE UNTIL MORNING & FOR MANY HOURS I COULD NOT GET RID OF THE SMELL FROM MYSELF MATTRESS WAS AT LEAST 10 YEARS OLD, OF COURSE, THE NEXT DAY I ASKED THEM TO CHANGE EVERYTHING & THEY DID. IN THE BATHROOM THERE WERE NO SHAMPOO, SOAP OR ANY SHOWER JEL, AND WHEN CUSTOMERS ARRIVE LATE AT NIGHT & TIRED, JUST WANT TO TAKE A SHOWER & GO TO BED, I COULD ONLY WASH MYSELF WITH JUST WATER. THERE WAS NO FACILITIES TO MAKE TEA OR COFFEE, THE ROOM WAS UNBEARABLY HOT ALL NIGHT & COLD FROM 5 AM BECAUSE THE HEATER WAS ON ALL NIGHT & TURNED OFF FROM 4 AM WHEN IT IS THE COLDEST TIME & WHEN MOST PEOPLE WAKE UP TO TAKE SHOWER & GET READY TO GO OUT. I TOOK A FEW PICTURES OF THE BATHROOM & SPECIALLY THE MATTRESS IF YOU WISH TO SEE THEM.

It is very disappointing to see that your room did not meet your expectations and we are deeply sorry to learn that you did not find our mattresses comfortable. They are recently changed, so it could not possible to have a room with a 10 years old mattress. Thank you for the information about you found some stain, we are going to check your room and the mentioned mattress. Regarding to your remark of lack of coffee and tea making facilities, I would like to inform you, that we have only tea and coffees making facility in our Executive rooms. Not recommended
First room showed very tired with grubby carpet and nasty smell. I was moved to another room that looked brighter and fresher and newer. During the night the wind rattled the window frames and there was a horrible constant creaking that meant I got NO sleep. Changed hotels the following day.

poor response to problems. after my first night they had groups of people rooms nearby mine and right throughout the night they kept going to each other rooms banging and shouting I went to reception and requested that they moved me and was very poor in their response as it went on i phoned from my room requested that they come up to the floor and to listen as to what was going on to no avail .totally upset about their lack of resose

Nice Hotel and staff, good facilities such as gym and pool but we were too busy in the city so never had the chance to enjoy it. When we asked to print documents or to have a kettle in the room, we got it without problem. Also they kept our luggage in a safe room after the check out. It Takes about 20 minutes to get to Vorosmarty ter(the square) with good transportation(tram and bus) , however if you don't want to travel too much during the day, it's better to pay more for a central hotel. The room was comfortable, the bed is huge looks like a super king, the bathroom is small but for an economic room it's value for money. The church bell wake us up at 7am on saturday morning which was annoying! We could hear noise from other rooms, like people talking, and sometimes there was a noise in the bathroom. The level of cleanliness wasn't so good, when we checked in it was clean but during the stay, the cleaners done the minimum, they didn't change the bins everyday or change the dirty glasses that we used. It was very hot in the hotel and in the room, we had to open the windows very often. Overall good experience, anyway we didn't spend much time in the hotel.

Very comfortable and large room. The room had the key card electrical interlock that is common these days but in an interesting twist it few outlets stayed energized when the card was removed so electronic devices could be charged when you were out of the room. Personnel from all departments were very courteous.
