Let Dreamcatcher Cabin catch your dreams while you rest in the master bedroom upstairs with on-suite bath, walk-in shower and granite vanity sink. King sized custom, handmade log bed with 12” memory foam mattress. Second bedroom is on the main level with a queen sized, custom, handmade log bed and furniture. The bathroom has a pocket door for on-suite to the bedroom or open up to the public space for guests. Outdoor features, include screened in porch with picnic table and (propane) grill. Sit on the porch and use the (propane) outdoor fire pit for evening entertaining. Hot tub on the porch has easy access thru the double sliders on the main. The sun, stars and moon all have an amazing effect on this home. On a starry night bring your Star Walk II or Planet Finder app to see all the constellations and planets in the western sky. Just about every night there is an amazing sunset. Lots of local attractions nearby and easy to access. Paddle at the Nantahala Outdoor Center, ride the Smoky Mountain Railroad, play at Harrah’s’ Cherokee Casino and Multi-tainment Center and much more. As you can tell from the pictures of the amazing mountain views this cabin is higher in elevation. My husband and I vacation in this area several times each year and by far, this was our favorite cabin. While the drive is steep (the listing indicates you need 4 wheel drive and you do!), it was worth it. Definitely need plan to arrive during daylight hours for navigational purposes.Quiet evenings, starry night skies, beautiful sunrises over the mountains, and the elevation was high enough that we actually had snow on our last night! The location is great and feels isolated, but still less than a 15 minute drive to Bryson City. I can’t image you could get a better view than the one at this cabin because you are literally almost on the top of the mountain. We all loved the hot tub too! My family had a great time and I would recommend it to anyone with only one caveat, you have got to have AWD or 4x4 and you can’t be scared of mountain steep gravel winding roads. We read some reviews which strongly advised 4x4 but someone suggested SUV was sufficient. We messaged the host asking for advise as we had booked a SUV car, they did not reply and are not communicative at all. It took us four attempts to get up the drive! We strongly advise 4x4 or AWD. The cabin is large, well equipped and the views are amazing. From our experience, it is better to deal with owner hosts who are responsive and helpful instead of agents who do not provide the same services. ##### Sheila L. The views and the cabin are lovely! My husband and I enjoyed our five night stay very much. The hot tub was great and a welcomed respite at the end of the day. This had to be a working vacation for both of us and the wifi and cell signals were reliable throughout our stay. If you’re preparing meals in the cabin, you’ll find the kitchen well stocked with all the necessary utensils, and the gas grill worked great, too! The bed was comfy and there were plenty of linens provided. We’d gladly stay here again! A note about the access road: AWD is definitely needed! We have rented numerous cabins in the area and have found that even when AWD is recommended, it’s not often necessary. With this cabin, it’s not an option. You need AWD. The steepness of the road and the road conditions will cause your tires to spin in place without it. On more than one occasion there were vehicles reversing down the hill because they were unable to make the climb. ##### Jill H. First, Jennifer’s communication is spectacular and her help was greatly appreciated. We arrived just one week after WNC floods from Helene! We had zero issues getting to- or staying at the property! PROS: We stay in the mountains 8-10 per year and I don’t think we will ever be able to top the views from this cabin! They were spectacular! The cabin has everything you need for your stay! The bed is comfortable and everything was spotless!! Alexa has the capability to control everything for you- which is fantastic for me because I am completely Alexa dependent in my everyday life. Kitchen has everything you need! Hot tub and fire pit were just the cherry on top! Cons: If you can really find any, the house does have ants. They do not bite, but they are very present! This may be troubling for some, we really could not care less. The Jeep showed an average of a 13 degree grade pitch coming in. Some spots higher or lower. We had zero trouble getting in and out. Like I said - I have a Jeep though. We made it up and down in 2WD. Your car should do just fine if you take your time and enjoy the ride! I really cannot say enough good things about the property!
