"Beautiful hotel. Too many streets are blocked now."
Beautiful hotel but the carpet is outdated. The decor in the room is not of a 5 star hotel.
I had a car and with so many streets blocked it was a night mare trying to get to the hotel. It was very frustrating!!!!!!!
This hotel was ideally placed as just a short stroll from Eurostar stop at Midi Station. Walking the opposite direction Mannekin Pis was just a 5 min stroll and then easily onto the Grand Place. Nearby lovely pub on corner opposite the roundabout.
The hotel itself was clean bright and the bed was so comfortable.
We had one day in Brussels and wanted to be right in the middle of it all. None of the hotels in the Grand Place area have on-site parking, which was my only concern, but there are tons of parking garages around to choose from and run about 16-20 euros per day. Not bad. Then you get out your Google Maps walking and follow it down the narrow road to the hotel - it wasn't difficult to find that way, plus it's exciting to enter the bustle of the area. The hotel is clean, calm, and cute, check in took less than a minute, the free breakfast was amazing and on the rooftop, and there is a wonderful Moroccan lady who runs a frites/sandwich shop right across the street and stays open until 2am. Which is perfect for after all those Belgian beers you're going to drink. I would always aim for this hotel when heading to Brussels.
We had a long weekend here and it was a very nice break, when we arrived there was somebody onsite handing out the keys. The room was very nice, we were on the first floor and we had all the facilities that we hoped for, bed was huge and bathroom was great. No staff are on site so I can't really comment on that hence the 3 above. The location was also ideal, we got the train from the airport and it was no more than 5 minutes walk, Grand Place was also within 5 minutes. There is no view but being in the middle of the city this was not expected.
Pocket Guide: Brussels Brussels Grand Place Hotels
A heart-shaped ring road defines Brussels’ city core, and most of its visitor attractions. Within these limits, the centre consists of two distinct halves. To the west is the Lower Town, a tangle of medieval streets centred on the Grand Place, a vast cobbled square surrounded by ornate Flemish buildings. To the east is the newer and more aristocratic Upper Town, a zone of palaces and parks, grand museums, and gothic churches.
