This hotel was the highlight of our trip, staff was great, internet service was wonderful, bar & restaurant was wonderful. Steps to the market. We were on the 4th floor and it did get a little warm in the room but by evening it was fine. Bed was very comfortable. Had a few issues with the room key but other than that this stay was wonderful and we will most likely stay her again if we go back. This hotel is in the middle of everything but once in your room you are at peace!
We were pleased with this hotel. The location was perfect and ideally met our needs. The Sandton Brussels is located quite near the Central train station which was very convenient as we arrived and left Brussels by train. The reception desk staff were courteous and quick to respond and deal with any concerns or requests we had. Allowances need to be made that the hotel is an old building and would probably benefit from a refurbish. Our room seemed a little tired but quite functional and serviceable. The room offered tea/ coffee making facilities which we greatly appreciated. The bed was very comfortable and the room was serviced daily. The breakfast on offer was varied and of a high standard. We spent four nights at the Sandton Brussels and thoroughly enjoyed exploring Brussels and the surrounds.
A contemporary luxury hotel in the heart of the city. Located in the serene Rue Paroissiens the Sandton Brussels Centre …More
Very cool, new hotel in great area. excellent restaurant, large room by European standards, however area around hotel is shut down to taxis after the morning so you may have to drag your bags several blocks. would have been nice to know this beforehand. also decor is so cool there is no place to put your clothes so you you have to live out of your suitcase.
I really liked the welcoming reception space. Bright and modern. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and the checkin process very efficient. The room was well proportioned. My kids loved the breakfast. They still talk about it. Lots of choice!
The hotel is literally a 5 minutes walk from the Grande Place. I have passed through Brussels many times but never stayed the night. I was a nice intermezzo. Brussels is a great city with excellent restaurants and a gorgeous historic centre. My son often exclaims that the Grande Place is the most beautiful market square in the world, and it is!! Especially at night. It's full of locals hanging out. We were there on a Friday evening in September and the whole city was vibrant and buzzing!
very pleasant staff. Room was a little on the small side thought. Breakfast Ok. Food was not hot thought only warm.
Not real a four star hotel maybe 3 at best. We have stayed in the Scandic hotel in Copenhagen and that was far superior for quality of room and food.
We are a family fo 4 from Canada and we were pleased with our stay. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the train station. Some taxi drivers will not accept us driven from the train station to the hotel because of how close we are. We came in to the hotel with a bit of a struggle going up the stairs with our luggages. It is only at the entrance, and about 10 steps. The staff are very strict about check in times. They did let us keep our luggages in a storage room since we had to check in later. The staff were still friendly and very helpful. When we asked for directions they gave us a map and showed us how to get there. There is only 1 small elevator. Since we had big lugagges it could only occupy 2 people. Our room was spacious for 4 and it was very clean and tidy. The washroom also spacious, clean, and tidy. We had a pleasant and comfortable stay overall. Next time we come back to Brussels, we will definitely stay at this hotel again.
Pocket Guide: Brussels Brussels Grand Place Hotels
A heart-shaped ring road defines Brussels’ city core, and most of its visitor attractions. Within these limits, the centre consists of two distinct halves. To the west is the Lower Town, a tangle of medieval streets centred on the Grand Place, a vast cobbled square surrounded by ornate Flemish buildings. To the east is the newer and more aristocratic Upper Town, a zone of palaces and parks, grand museums, and gothic churches.
