"The area was a little remote, but the house was exactly as described and plenty big enough for 3 family groups with a wide range in children’s ages. The outside areas worked brilliantly well, plenty of shade or sun as required. The area was really peaceful and we had deer wandering around the area. The property owner was really helpful with all our questions and responded really quickly. If I’m being picky due to the heatwave we would have appreciated. Air con in the downstairs bedrooms....

"We stayed 2 weeks at this property and despite poor weather enjoyed it very much. The gite is excellent, very comfortable and well equipped. The owners live on site and were excellent hosts. Madame Noirot was extremely helpful in suggesting where we might visit and thanks to her advice we saw far more of the country side than we would otherwise. "No air-conditioning — while this is perhaps mentioned somewhere, we did not notice when booking. We spent two nights there, with daily highs around 40 Celsius. 4m ceilings and stone walls help somewhat, but still, not very comfortable. The bathroom lacks shelving and counter space. Lastly, we booked an Armagnac tour and experience, but apparently the person who does it is not working on Tuesdays. One of the staff members opened the place for us and explained a few things, but still again: why take a reservation for something you know you cannot do. Of the nice things: The grounds are nice, we enjoyed walking through the vineyards in the mornings. The starters at the dinner were also exceptional. The staff were friendly and it felt like home. "
