Slightly strange place
This is effectively a 3 bedroom apartment with one of the beds in the living room. There is also a kitchen, and is decorated like a old palace! It took a while to find it as it’s not a traditional hotel it’s a restaurant and you have to check in with staff there. Although the description says “parking” there’s is none and we ended up in a paid car park that wasn’t that close. Although the place was clean and with fresh towels and bedding my wife did get bit by something so not so great on that part. On a plus it is right in the middle of where you need to be and close to everything.

This was the worst room I have stayed in. No Maintenance. The safety security light out side our room at the top of the stairs did not work. The front door Handel on the inside of the room was nearly falling off. The bathroom shelf was also falling off. The man hole cover in one bedroom room was ajar/open. The bathroom had 4 lights but only 2 worked. The lounge area has many lights but only one worked. There were two light stands with no gloves in them. The ceiling light was 3 down lights, one missing, Two not working. The main bed was in the lounge room, no issues but the light was a chandelier more than half the lights were not working. Other than the servers lack of lighting, the main room, lounge and bedroom had windows facing the Markt square, there was a lot of light from the square coming in, plus there were outside spotlights on the window sill pointing up to highlight the building from the outside. The issue here is most of the light came into the bedroom. I found 2 curtains in a wardrobe, and even so I think more were missing. The bits to re hang the curtains were missing so they could not be hung and therefore the light came into this room all night. The room was so light you could not use this bed and bedroom.

On the Markt square, so position is awesome. You can come back after dinner with a drink of your choice and sit with the windows open and gaze across the square. Incredible. Yes the fittings are dated, and some have seen better days, but the size and position cannot be beaten.

This is not a hotel. It is a Restaurant that has some rooms for rent. There is no lobby. You just get to the restaurant and ask for your room key. Very old place but the location is super good

You can’t beat the location and the price tbh! However, the place wasn’t really clean. It was insanely old. My door handle and that actual lock came completely off LOL! I went downstairs and the property is run by the waitstaff? They said the head guy was gone for the day so their was nothing they could do about my lock being gone. Ummm what?! Luckily another waiter was able to help. Honestly if you are just looking for a place to crash, it’s fine. If you are looking for any customer service I wouldn’t choose it

Wow, what a stay. Utterly perfect location, right on the square. We were lucky to get Room 3 which is the one shown in the nicest photos. Decor is high quality but dated (but we liked that), it’s basically a flat with a super comfy bed, great shower and a view over the square to die for. If you look on Google reviews you will see a lot of mixed reviews, but these are for the restaurant underneath your rooms. We would definitely stay here again. There is also really convenient underground parking (4 mins walk away for €16 a day) nearby.

Nice location but falsely advertised
This is not a hotel, but a collection of rooms above a cafe. The rooms are a lovely size but the work done to refresh the condition is poor, and in addition they are falsely advertised. If this matters to you then it will have a significant impact to your stay: There is no car parking There is no AC There is no disabled access (there is a lift internal to the stairwell, but the lift is only accessible once you have already climbed a flight of stairs) It is not possible to contact the hotel as their phone number has been cut off The actual rooms are still nice though and the location is nice and central.

Terrible. No communication. Number doesn’t work.
Terrible (no) communication with this hotel. Our trip was delayed and we booked for two nights. I emailed them repeatedly to notify them that we would not make the first night and wanted to keep the second night. I expected to refund or price adjustment, only that they would hold the room for us. No reply. No reply to emails. Tried to call and no heir number is out of service. Hotels.com agent could not contact them either. If the hotel will not or cannot communicate with the client or hotels.com agents, then they should be removed as a hotels.com hotel immediately. Lost two nights including cost and rewards points and had to rebook at another hotel. Pull them from the hotel.com site, pls, to prevent more unhappy customers.

The actual place was good, the room was great, the wardrobe have broken doors, a lampshade was missing, a curtain rail was broken as well. The electrical points look slightly a tad worn as well, some people may look like it as nit picking but it's stopping this place from a great place into a awesome place. It's well placed, with a great restaurant underneath it, situated well in Bruges, it just needs abit more t.l.c

The room, (#3), was definitely not what I expected. Huge...with the most amazing view of the Square. I would have to stay here again if I ever came back...and I will. If you are on the fence about staying here...I am here to tell you to just book it. You will be very glad that you did.

You cannot get a better location in Bruges. I stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment with my family and we very much enjoyed our stay. It was a cozy stay with charm and I recommend you stay here.

lovely area and could be soo good but our room was just very dated and odd 2 curtains missing nothing matched really load plumbing noises and lack of finishing touches let’s it down no hot water for 2 days

Fantastic location and friendly staff. The room is very dirty and not cleaned properly. On arrival we was greeted with dirty dishes and opened bottles of wine from the last guest. Most of the lights dont work and most of the room is falling apart. Still it was a beautiful location and the staff that work there are really nice. If they could just sort the rooms out it would be fantastic

I am not sure why Expedia allows a owner to list apartments as a hotel. THIS IS NOT A HOTEL! These are apartments above a restaurant. There are no terrace, or lobby, or hotel service to be spoken of. The flat was large, much larger than what we needed and smelled stale. The linens and pillows were the lowest quality. Too much light as they did not turn off the building façade lights at night and curtains were broken and not black out. The hallway we were supposed to use as in/out access after hours was clogged with junk, presenting blockage of the emergency exit. I am curious what the fire department would make of that. If you are on a budget and want to travel with a large family / group, this can be an afforable option but do not be followed: THIS IS NOT A HOTEL! There is no terrace, there is the outside sitting area of the restaurant. There is no lobby, there is a computer in the restaurant bar and a rack of keys. Expedia needs to inspect places like these and require they categorize properly!

Great location on the main market square with friendly staff and a large room, although you get what you pay for. Room was shabby and in disrepair, the curtains were torn, there was a broken sofa bed in the middle of the room not in the description or the photos. The shower did not drain, the windows were missing panes, and their phone number has been disconnected for weeks making the property unreachable (which they noted they were aware of). It was a budget friendly option, in a great walkable location and we did not spend much time in the room but it is NOT as nice as decorated or assembled in the photos.

A horrible experience that never got resolved
A room without hot water, with broken plumbing, and negligent security compromising the safety of our valuables. Add to this unreachable hotel management & lack of apology and/or communication.

wiFi was out during my stay. The room itself was great and exceptionally clean. The coverings, (i.e. slipcovers on sofa, bedspread) were old and a little tatty but clean. The furnishings were also old but are consistent with the nature of the hotel, as it is very old. Location couldn't be better! The best part of the room was the exceptional assistance the staff gave me, as a foreign traveler with no maps and no internet connection, they were more than accomodating,

This property is in an excellent location if you want to be right in the middle of the tourist activities on the market square. The B&B is in a narrow building with one room on each floor. We had two rooms. One was on the second floor. It was large with huge windows overlooking the square, a king bed, and a spacious sitting area. The second room (the third floor) was huge. It was actually a three room apartment with a full kitchen, two additional bedrooms, a large sitting area, and great views. If I had known this room was so big I would not have booked two rooms. The rooms were dated but very comfy and had everything we needed — toiletries, coffee, tea, robes, dishes, cutlery etc. After long days of sightseeing, we were so happy to return to this room. The B&B is run by the family that also runs the restaurant on the ground floor. They were extremely friendly and helpful, and provided very nice breakfasts. I normally love a stylish hotel, but I would definitely return here for the casual comfort, space, and great location.

A beautiful room overlooking the bellfry and grand market of bruges. You can’t beat this property in terms of proximity to main sites as well as having a room that makes you feel like a medieval lord. With that being said, it is important to note that the the property is part of a busy restaurant. This means that check-in/check-out as well as entering and exiting the building will be not ideal if you were anticipating a hotel. Also the wifi signal was pretty weak in the room. The key to a great stay at this property is to understand that it is more like renting an airbnb then a traditional hotel. Overall a good experience!

Beautiful room right on the square so excellent location. The interior is like a palace. Only issue was the bed was extremely hard and being on the main square it was quite noisy. But other than that a perfect place to stay.

Lovely hotel
We loved our stay! The location was amazing!! Everyone we encountered who worked there was so friendly. Room was cool and interesting. Again the location was superb. We absolutely loved Bruges! It was the highlight of our trip!
