Excellent romantic hotel in a perfect location!

Posted 31-Aug-2015
This hotel is everything we wished for and more. It sits right on the canal and is of a very high standard. The rooms are beautifully decorated and quaint with a real old world Bruge charm. The staff are very polite attentive and helpful. Breakfast was delicious especially the champagne and omelettes! Overall it was a wonderful experience and we were sad to leave at the end of our stay. We will definitely be returning.

Outstanding Stay

Really liked the hotel. In the heart of Chocolate Town. Perfect location. Wonderful helpful staff. Lovely breakfast. Super clean boutique style establishment. Truly over the top. This inn is exactly what I look for when I'm away from home on vacation. Five star plus!

unique , close and comfortable

Posted 05-Aug-2015
Pros: the unique and personal service. There is arty in the lobby.
Cons: Have the plugs by the deck be raised from the floor to desk height.
Location: not so close to train- 20 minute walk, had to hire taxi to go back to train. main city sites
This hotel is a one of a kind, it is boutique hotel wiht 19 rooms and each room is a bit different. I had reserved 2 rooms for my family. They had set up the first floor of one of the building for us. Our room had cute window and a large comfortable bed with sheets (not all european hotels have sheets) and many pillows. The shower was luxury with bath robes. The location is wonderful for exploring Bruges. You will see this hotel on many night time shots of the city.

Luxury with character.

Posted 03-Aug-2015
Pros: I loved the charm of this hotel and it's location and even though it was in the middle of everything it was still quiet and peaceful.
Location: Get up early and see the market in the square. Beautiful building and great shopping.
You come through an arch into a secluded intimate patio right off the canal to the hotel entrance. Everything about this luxurious hotel is full of character. I loved the paintings on the wall, the furnishings and the coziness of the entrance, lobby area and restaurant. The room was small but the beams in the ceiling and beautiful bedding made it feel like you were part of the charm of this wonderful city. The bathroom was modern and we were very comfortable and pleased with the room and the hotel.

Bruges, 100m from main square.

Posted 07-Jul-2015
Location: Close to the main square where the pony and cart rides left from, right on the canal.
Quirky hotel down a short passageway into a courtyard with a viewing point for the canal. The room was well appointed, comfortable bed and a big bath. The little touch of a bottle of water each day was appreciated. The staff were very helpful and the choice for breakfast was plentiful. Even the taxi driver they booked for us was charming and engaged us on our way back to the station.

Fabulous location, beautiful hotel and great staff

Posted 25-Jun-2015
Pros: As above.... Particularly the staff, who were really helpful.
Cons: A menu at breakfast, as the waitress sometimes struggled to communicate what was available. Also, a wider selection of music in public areas.....
Location: A very short walk from the main square, right by the canal.
Beautifully located at the side of a canal, very close to the centre of Bruges. This hotel is small and intimate. It is furnished with some delightful antiques and paintings. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. The staff could not have been more helpful.

Central Bruges Luxury and Charm

Posted 19-Jun-2015
Pros: Pretty much everything - couldn't fault the location, staff, decor, breakfasts or overall charm.
Cons: A small fridge for keeping the complimentary water and any soft drinks (and of course the locally purchased chocolates) cold. Better fly screens.
Location: Central, 1 - 10 mins to the best bars (Beer Wall/Red Rose/Cambrinus/Garre), cafes, restaurants, historic buildings, boat trips, carriage rides etc.
Absolutely charming and high quality small hotel in a fabulous central Bruges location. From the moment we arrived to sadly leaving 4 days later we received warm and excellent service from the staff. Our room was full of charm and character, with an unbeatable view over the central Bruges canal area, tastefully decorated and furnished in keeping with the history of the building. An excellent and beautifully finished bathroom, mainly in marble, added to the sense of opulence. It was lovely to stay somewhere so small as the service you received was that much more personal than in a typical hotel. We hadn't intended to have breakfast - but at 19 Euros each, although not cheap, the cost was well worth it compared to that charged by other hotels as the quality and range of food was great and included quails eggs and a glass of champagne - what a fabulous way to start the day! We will definitely return one day.
