A little gem tucked away near central Bruges.

First of all the inn keepers are wonderful. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and well versed on the hotel's history and the area. The breakfast is fantastic and plentiful, served in the 14th century "basement" of the hotel. The hotel is wonderfully situated close to the Markt and also on a very quiet street away from the hustle and bustle of Bruges. We walked there with luggage from the train station (a wonderful walk through town but most on cobblestone streets--not bad just know that!) The room was huge with a double bed, two chairs, a credenza, a small table, fridge, tea kettle and plenty of room to spread out. The bathroom was quite large by any hote standard but for a European hotel even more so with two sinks, a full tub and shower. The owner was able to share wonderful stories with us about the history of the hotel and their process in renovating and restoring it. I'd stay there again for sure and highly recommend it. Great experience and only sorry we were just there for a night.
