As central as it gets

Posted 13-Jan-2018
Right in the middle of all the hustle and bustle, you couldnt ask for a more convenient location. Hotel is also delightfully decorated and staff is wonderful. 4 stars have been well deserved.

New Year in Bruge

Posted 07-Jan-2018
This was our second New Year stay in Bruge and third time at the hotel. Only a little nit pick of the hotel. As is the same with all hotels the bedroom lighting is a little dim especially by the wardrobe. Apart from that everything else is excellent. Wonderful breakfast selection to set you up for the day and location in my opinion perfect. So close to the main square yet peaceful enough for a good nt sleep. Staff very helpful and friendly. We will def be back for 4th time.

Fantastic location and friendly staff

Posted 03-Jan-2018
The location of the hotel is perfect, right in the centre of Brugges with everything you want to see within walking distance. The bar area and lobby are very grand and make for an enjoyable drink before or after venturing out to explore Brugges. After being blown away by the inital enterance to the hotel, the rooms were a little underwhelming. We had a comfort double in the newer part and although they were extremely comfortable, cosy and quiet they didn’t feel as “Grand” as the rest of the hotel. Rooms were clean, but I would expect higher standards from a 4* hotel. During a daily clean only beds were made and bathrooms wiped over. It may be hotel policy not to touch guests belongings, but for example pyjamas were just tossed to the side, rather than folded. One day, the coffee machine had been forgotten and dirty cups were left (quickly rectified by the reception team When mentioned) Not a big deal and definitely not a complaint, but just a comparison to other 4* hotels and something I noticed. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend

Great hotel, central to most attractions in Bruges

Posted 29-Dec-2017
Pros: Pretty much everything
Cons: A restaurant for evening meals would be nice, but there are so many options within a five minute walk it's not really an issue
Location: The hotel is situated in the centre of town, a three minute walk from Burg sq. Everywhere we visited was within a thirty minute walk, most within ten
I came with my wife and daughters for our second stay in 18 months. This time we had the quad duplex, we had a suite the first time. The duplex was impeccable: clean, spacious with a great layout for a family. The hotel is grand but not ostentatious. Decor is smart and tasteful. The bar and lounge area is plush and very comfortable, it was a shame we didn't get an opportunity to have a few drinks there this time, but we didn't have the time. Breakfast is buffet style and decent, the room is spacious and not at all cramped. All in all, a pleasant stay and I suspect we'll be returning in the future!

Very close to Square

Posted 29-Dec-2017
Pros: Everything!
Location: Few minutes walk to Square.
A four day stay at this lovely hotel, staff very kind and helpful. Underground parking. Paid extra for breakfast, certainly worth it, very hot food with a huge selection of cold meat, salmon, fruit, yogurts, cereals and pastries.

Charming hotel to explore the best of Bruges.

Posted 23-Dec-2017
A lovely welcoming hotel that was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We had a fabulous family room with a separate level for the children and a high wooden raftered ceiling. Wonderful high end toiletries were provided and the room was cosy and well appointed. A great breakfast too.

Great location, and it really is a Grand hotel

Posted 15-Dec-2017
Lovely hotel, it has definitley earned the Grand, found it very easy to walk everywhere. The room was nice and clean, a minor niggle is that our bed was two singles pushed together with single bed linen, I don’t class that as a king room, aside from this the room was great. And spacious. As for negatives, you can walk in from the street directly to the rooms without passing reception, I really don’t like that with hotels. Lastly the toilets are also exceptionally high. I’m 5”10 and my feet were off the floor, very unusual, I presume the Belgians are tall.
