Ideal hotel for the weekend

Posted 02-May-2017
Pros: Location
Location: Right by all the main historical sights, but do make sure to wander further afield
Great location, clean and comfortable rooms and lovely staff. Everything you need for the weekend if you don't want to spend a fortune. Slightly more expensive that I would expect, but I would suspect you are paying for location which is unbeatable

Beautiful old building in the centre of Bruges

Posted 30-Apr-2017
Pros: Its old fashioned appearance combined with up to date facilities
Cons: Nothing
Location: Ideally situated for easy walking to the various museums etc. and also a large selection of restaurants nearby
We stayed in the original building, there is also a modern extension, which is beautifully decorated and well maintained. All the staff were friendly and efficient, special thanks to Fleur for her advice and completely natural friendly and interested conversations.

Absolutely wonderful hotel.

Posted 28-Apr-2017
Location: Excellent location, everything within walking distance.
We loved our time at this beautiful, historic hotel. Everything was perfect from the location, to the comfort of our room, to the attention to detail. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had lots of variety and was in a beautiful spacious dining room. The bar area was very nice also -great place to have a drink and relax. Overall, we fell in love with Bruges, and the icing on the cake was The Grand Hotel Casselbergh .

Luxurious hotel close to the centre

Posted 25-Apr-2017
Pros: Comfort, size of room, helpfulness of staff, breakfasts and closeness to centre
Cons: Signposting of rooms from reception
Location: A great centre for discovering Bruges on foot
We felt we made an excellent choice of hotel. Room was a good size, comfortable and had a view over a canal. So close to the central squares and yet not aware of noise. All staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. When checking out, leaving luggage to be picked up later, checking train times and ordering a taxi, Fleur was outstanding.

Superb hotel in the heart of Bruges

Posted 25-Apr-2017
You can simply not fault this hotel. The staff are welcoming and friendly. We had Room 1302 which I would reccommend, we were a family of three and this is a very spacious room. The breakfast was superb offering a wide choice throughout. The reception areas were quite and relaxing and the prices for the drinks were reasonable. There is a car park a few minutes walk away from the hotel for 9 euros per day.

Stunning old building adjacent to main square

Posted 24-Apr-2017
Pros: everything
Cons: Cannot think of anything
Location: Right in the centre, what more can you ask for
Excellent choice with no complaints for our 3 night stay. Staff could not do enough, drinks are very reasonably priced and the decor whilst enjoying a nightcap is fabulous. We had the attic bedrooms and although the last climb was up a narrow flight of stairs the climb is worth it. Rooms were huge with delightful old beams and a lovely bathroom. When we return we will not be looking for any other hotel.

Great hotel in great position

Posted 24-Apr-2017
Pros: It's position and grandeur.
Location: Just off one of the main squares, hundreds of restaurants & brasseries on the doorstep and places for breakfast if not included in the room rate.
The hotel experience was very good, staff efficient and friendly. The waitress at breakfast was there to take our tea/coffee order as soon as we sat down on each of the 3 mornings we were there even at very busy times. Room was very clean, comfortable and quiet overlooking the canal.

Great location for the hotel. Close to the central areas. Parking is a bit expensive but there is a nearby secure public parking area. A few steps in the lobby make pushing a plan slightly tricky but there are lifts available. The room was clean with all the usual amenities available.
