My husband and I had a wonderful stay here. Rated it an overall "5,” b/c perfect for what we were looking for. Pros: Hosts Marie and Peter were extremely attentive/accommodating. Provided pickup/dropoff at train station. House = Victorian style with older furniture, antiques, lots of roses, lace, etc. quite pretty - very "girly." Good wifi, large bedrooms/bathroom, shower had solid water pressure. Beds are foam mattress? Breakfasts were ENORMOUS - with cute finger foods, at least 3 kinds each of cheese and meat, and 4 types of bread, plus cereals, yogurt and fruit! We even had plastic baggies to take a picnic into town - which we did for 3 days, very convenient - especially since many of the bars in town only serve beer so you can bring in own food. Great "woman cave" shed/seating area outside. Picturesque garden. Chocolates on pillows, port wine in room... Location is just outside loop walls so it's a 20-30 minute walk to center of Bruges, only 5 min walk to Fort Lapin microbrewery w/fun tasting room. Cons: Not many! Neighborhood = residential but with buildings that looked like warehouses. Walk to center of town had pretty views and seemed safe, but may be a bit long for some folks. Just far enough that it was inconvenient to come back to rest mid-day. Some furnishings, bedding and accessories are getting a bit dated, but clean. Would DEFINITELY recommend to folks who like the style of unusual, older B&Bs rather than a cookie-cutter hotel.
