We were really looking forward to our stay at Winford Manor. We were able to check in early and get our bags into our room so we could go out and explore. We stayed here during a heat wave and I completely understand that hotels in the UK don't need to have air conditioners in their rooms because the heat is kind of unusual. However, it was HOT that day and our room was also very HOT. We immediately got in and opened the windows to cool our room down but it was pretty miserable. We called down to see if there was a fan or something and we were rudely told nothing else was available. We went down to the lobby and asked about seeing if there was a room on the bottom floor that we could switch to since it was cooler downstairs... again rudely told no. I understand if there was nothing available, but we didn't really feel like the front desk attendant cared at all. I get that there was nothing she could do, but apologize, maybe try to find a fan or something to give us some relief. Not only that, but the beds were hard as a rock. Worst night sleep of our entire trip...
