All show with no substance

Posted 17-Aug-2017
Booked and paid£144 for a room for one night Room was noisy due to a bathroom fan in the room below. Moved to a cold damp room with no bath. Shocking value for money. No apology or contrition. Menu was limited. Information was poor and was not made to feel welcome. Very poor level of customer service.

Beautiful, stunning, five stars.

Tracy Park is absolutely stunning. It should definitely be a 5 star hotel. The hotel staff, though young, are obviously very well trained. Beautiful grounds, immaculate rooms with rain showers/wet Rooms, stunning breakfast room with a lot of light and very varied breakfast including soy milk , cooked breakfast, yoghurts, cereals, plenty of fruits. I didn't have supper as I ate out. The only thing I would say having lived in America for a long time is that AC would be a bonus as it was very very hot but since the U.K. Only gets 28C on one day a year it certainly isn't required. I really would give Tracy Park 5 stars.

Unique but not quite perfect

Posted 07-Jul-2017 on Hotels
I stay for 1 night while on business in the area. The hotel offers very good service and facilities. The room was smaller than I expected and overcrowded with furniture making it rather cramped, very small windows and not a lot of lighting also made it quite dark. It was a converted outbuilding so door opened directly onto the courtyard and main hotel building making it a bit noisy with people coming and going to the Restaurant.

Excellent hotel, and beautiful property. The room was very nice, and the breakfast was a welcome start to the day.

Excellent hotel. Gorgeous room, great food & service. We'll have trouble topping this one! Really enjoyed visit to Bath, great city and the park & ride just up the road made it so easy.

Lovely hotel.

Pros: Comfortable beds and relaxed atmosphere with helpful staff.
Cons: Room was a little warm as it had very small windows.
Location: Close location to Bath and all its amenities. We used the park and ride which was nearby.
Very comfortable stay at this hotel, very friendly staff, great facilities and very nice breakfast.

Room well below par. Very disappointing Poor value

Posted 30-Mar-2017
Pros: Leaving was the best part of our visit
Cons: The rooms, the breakfast service, trying to provide value for money
Location: The location is very pleasant
We booked a superior room. The room was very small and had tiny windows. There were no chairs in the room so it lacked basic comforts. Above the door was a green illuminated fire exit sign. Unfortunately this remained on all night and served to partially illuminate the room. Not what one expects in a good hotel. It is also rather bizarre as there is no other exit from the room with even the windows being too small for an adult to squeeze through. Health & safety taken to extremes. The breakfast was below normal hotel standards as there were a group of golfers who had consumed most of the hot ingredients and the staff were unable to keep the stocks replenished. The tea which was served in from a pre-prepared jug was lukewarm and had been stewed. Overall a very disappointing experience and poor value for money What is apparent is that this is a golf club with rooms attached and whilst the golf maybe good it falls well below acceptable standards on the hotel side. The upgrade to a superior room is nonsense and is just a excuse to extort more money for no additional value. Tracey Park is best avoided
