The White Horse, Rottingdean, has the most lovely staff: helpful, smiling, delightful. Our room - a double with twin beds - was comfortable; the beds were very comfortable indeed and the shower was excellent. But the carpet was not particularly clean, probably because it needs replacing, and don't expect any frills. Bring your own shower cap, soap etc. However, it is on a VERY busy main road! Our room gave directly onto it and it wasn't possible to sleep with the windows open. Try to get a room at the back, if you can. And no fan in the bathroom. Very odd. The full English breakfast was very disappointing indeed: the bacon was wet and pink and floppy, the tomato mostly raw, the sausage - unbelievably - was SQUARE! But there are plenty of other things on offer. Just don't go to the FE if you are a fan of crispy bacon and well-cooked tomato! Plenty of parking, too, which was perfect. So, a mixed bag, really.
