This was a great location right on the seafront and just a few mins walk from the Brighton centre, where we were going to a gig. Good breakfast too. Helpful staff. I had been a bit worried after reading some bad reviews but our room was spacious with a large bathroom and really comfy beds, so we were more than happy. Some things were a bit tired but we didn't pay for a 5 star hotel. This was a perfect base for our Brighton getaway and Id definitely stay again next time i visit.

Central location, clean, competitively priced, pleasant staff and a good breakfast. Some smaller details were a little awry; tv in room at a 10 degree angle & couldn't be rectified; an unrequested further single bed was in the double room, which was unnecessary & (obviously) took up space, trade operative appeared on scaffolding outside the 3rd floor room on scaffolding at 9:30 without warning - embarrassing. But all in all the stay represented good value for money - even if a few of the finer points of hotel etiquette and service were missed.

The hotel is well presented and welcoming and the staff friendly and helpful. The room I was in had an amazing view of the beach however the windows did allow some of the road noise form outside to be heard.

Room was very small by the lift and stairs so had no sleep all night. Housekeeping was poor made the bed up wrong and didn’t clean the cups on the tea tray.

I don't think I've ever stayed in a room as bleak and soul less as this. The rest of the hotel maybe fine but the room I was given had no redeeming qualities. The bed was lumpy, I had to side step around it to get to the bathroom (its fair to say this should not be a double room), the decor was stark and tired. I thought I was getting a good deal going via Expedia and I ended up paying fr too much for a room that was not worth it.

The room was just barely so, with peeling paint in the window sills and not closing properly. There was a smell coming from the floor or ceiling, reminiscent of wet dog. The floors was terribly uneven and I didn't dare have my bare feet touch the carpet. The only plus was its sea view. I could not be bothered taking photos of the issues mentioned as having them stored and accidentally seeing them would add to my disappointment.
