Sweetfield Manor really is a bajan gem. Those who work there are very friendly and attentive to customers’ needs and they are willing to go above and beyond. It is great value for money and exceeded our expectations.

Sweetfield Manor - Relax & Unwind

When we arrived at Sweetfield Manor, there was an open house event that was taking place and the staff was overwhelmed. They greeted us with a welcome fruit smoothie drink on the veranda while they prepared our room. We quickly learned the motto of Sweetfield Manor was “sit back and enjoy your visit with us”. The grounds & the views from the terrace were amazing. The wild and beautiful peacocks roaming their grounds was one of the highlights of our trip to Barbados. They must have known that we would be impressed with these beautiful birds because they assigned us to the Peacock Room! The staff was very attentive and pleasant. They would do everything & anything to make our stay an enjoyable one! The on house restaurant on the property has an amazing chef who catered to our vegan diet with a delicious, healthy meal. He even came to our table to check that we were totally satisfied. We would definitely come back and we will recommend Sweetfield Manor to all our friends and family.

Staff were fantastic, anticipating our needs and always gracious. Jazz was an exceptional hostess. And the new restaurant, Pavao with Executive Chef Trevon was a true delight. Outstanding meals! We hope we can stay at this beautiful relaxing plantation house again in the near future. A wonderful stay. Thank you!

    Beautiful gem of a hotel

My wife and I booked this hotel over a few days. Having just come from an all-inclusive resort, we were extremely sceptical about moving to a small, B&B style place. As the hotel is located in a neighbourhood just outside of Bridgetown, away from any of the major resorts, we learned very quickly that the only effective way to holiday here was to rent a car. Our taxi driver from the airport struggled to find Sweetfield, and when we did arrive we were the only guests at the time... But it was absolutely gorgeous. The compound is stunning, with peacock roaming the grass in the evenings, a beautiful Japanese-inspired garden and a lovely main house to boot. Despite being the only guests, the place was well staffed and we were very well attended to. The breakfasts were amazing. My wife has some very serious food allergies, and our chef catered for her, no problem! Without a doubt we loved our stay at Sweetfield. In the future, we would love to bring our family and show them this absolute gem.

Pros: The scenery was stunning, the staff were very friendly and the food was excellent.

Cons: As Sweetfield is a little more out of the way, we think the hotel could benefit from establishing a shuttle service into Bridgetown or similar.

Location: Sweetfield is hidden away somewhere not-so-obvious. There isn't much in the immediate surroundings, so we'd strongly recommend a car.
