Spent one night in Bratislava, Slovakia at Hotel Albrecht. Good location to ride trolleybus to Old Town and the Bratislava Castle. Nice room. Clean hotel. The hotel staff was so very helpful and friendly. They showed us how to purchase tickets for trolleybus, explained what we needed to know to get around. Helped us make phone calls. Took an interest in us personally and you don't find that level of service very often. Restaurant was excellent. Highly recommend this hotel!

The value received was outstanding. Falkensteiner is a business hotel, but we stayed on a weekend and had all the benefits, plus the total attention of the staff.
We walked to old town and when we left, only a 9 Euro ride to the main rail station. Excellent location for us.
First day fridge didnot cool . We put some stuff inside and staff was hot. We told that at reception send somebody to take a look. he did not know how to repair that he told us - not fridge - microwave and he told us maybe now it will be ok. In hotel time stopped at 1970, breakfast is poor and location in only good about this hotel.

The hotel was situated in a location convenient to the attractions.. The staff were particularly helpful with advice on authentic places to eat. Our one criticism is there was not a fridge in the room. We wanted to take cold water with us during the day.

GREAT little hostel... Brilliant location just outside the main part of the Old Town, a 5 minute walk up to the castle, and a 15 minute walk up to the Russian war memorial (HIGHLY recommend a visit for the views and for anyone keen on Cold War history). Really polite and helpful staff, nice & clean facilities, overall a great base for your exploration of Bratislava. Not a party hostel at all, and very happy to have that sort of chilled out, relaxed atmosphere.
Pocket Guide: Bratislava Bratislava Castle - Hrad Hotels
Isolated on a rocky plateau directly above the Danube River, the massive Bratislava Castle dominates the skyline above the Old Town and rewards visitors with expansive views of the city and Austria. Recently renovated and repainted a gleaming white, the castle offers tours, several museums, and a picturesque garden. Be sure to check out the many churches and museums dotting the outlying area.
