Easy access to businesses for meetings

Posted 16-Nov-2017
Pros: Clean rooms
Felt bad for front desk...they could of used another person at check in. It was a long wait & phones were ringing off the hook. Rooms facing pool are too loud to catch up on laptop after work day.

Great location, very central

Posted 05-Nov-2017
Pros: The location was great!
Cons: Pool needs to be repaired.
Location: The hotel is so close to everything... Great location.
The hotel is under renovations, updating areas. The pool area is large and has a great slide, but definitely needs some repair work. Rooms are spacious and have been nicely redone.

Thank you very much for the review, and I am happy to to hear that you enjoyed the updated rooms. We are working on correcting the pool liner issue. It is only 3 years old and already has to be replaced.

Great Staff - Lovely Room - Disappointed by Pool

Posted 09-Sep-2017
Pros: The staff were great and the room was lovely.
Cons: The pool is in need of maintenance and the waterslide was closed when we visited.
Location: Two fun spots for coffee: Forbidden Flavours @ 1060 18th St and Coffee Culture @ 510 1st St
Nice hotel. Our room on the 5th floor was beautiful. Our kids were disappointed to find the waterslide closed, especially because it was the reason why we picked this hotel.

Glad that you enjoyed the room, sorry for the pool and water slide issues. The pool has been very busy the last couple weeks which has caused us some issues mechanically. I hope you would consider staying with us again.

Nice Quiet Stay

Posted 09-Sep-2017
Pros: Central location; quiet, clean room; reasonably priced.
Cons: Mattress was very firm, but not to the point of being totally uncomfortable. Pillows looked very fluffy, but soon were compressed and too flat.
The first room that checked into was poolside, which would not do as my spouse and I had wanted a quieter room to relax a bit from the hustle, excitement and confusion of moving our oldest daughter in her dorm at Brandon University. I went down to the front desk and spoke with Jesse who was able to arrange for a much more quieter room, far away from the pool. This was no small feat as we suspect that the hotel was probably close to full, if not full to capacity with fire evacuees from northern Manitoba. We really appreciated his effort to set us up in a room that met our needs.

VERY loud & crowded

Posted 01-Sep-2017
Pros: Nice rooms. Clean.
Cons: Pool hours should be 9 not 10:30 during the week ...very disruptive for guests with rooms facing pool side.
Location: Convenient to get to most POI in Brandon
I usually stay here. Nice rooms. Good staff. But hotel was extremely loud. I was there on business & I had to go to coffee shop up the street to work on reports, emails etc. Where it was quiet.Therecwere kids in all rooms around me screaming, banging on doors with their groups of parents too busy smoking by front door to care. Kids next room to mine were yelling and banging till after 1:00 am ....won't be staying there again.

Sorry for the noise issues Michelle. We had a large number of evacuees from the Northern fires in the hotel which brought a lot of kids into the hotel which is not normal for during the week. I hope you will consider staying with us again.

Good hotel

Room are comfy. Heated floors in bathroom. Pool is ok, liner is coming apart. You could hear a crying baby in the next room all night. Over all a good stay.

Arrived late without a reservation while driving through NH, courteous staff. Small hot/cold breakfast included. Comfortable bed. Plenty of free parking. Easy access, short drive to outlets.

Cheap and relatively clean

Posted 23-Aug-2017
Room was clean, most front desk staff were friendly. Couldn't control the air conditioning unit properly on the unit and the wall controls kicked in and out periodically on their own, so that was frustrating. The pool area needs LOTS of TLC.....pool liner broken in spots, water a bit merky, lots of hair in and out of the water. Pool maintenance staff were seen every day testing the water/hot tub, so that was the only reason I let my kids swim!

Sorry for the issues with the A/C and the pool. We are working with the manufacturer to deal with the pool liner. It is only 3 years old and is clearly defective. Hope we will see you again at the Clarion Hotel & Suites

Good hotel

Posted 23-Aug-2017 on Hotels
The room was huge, which was great, especially for a 10 day stay. You could close off the bedroom from the sitting room with a sleeper sofa which was excellent with different people in the room having different schedules. The staff forgot to clean our room one day, but otherwise the stay was great. Even though there is a bar in the parking lot I couldn't hear it from our room. The bed was very comfortable, albeit the sleeper sofa was incredibly firm. If you're like me and having the sink and shower all in the bathroom is important so people aren't waking others up - this is the hotel for you.
