As you enter the living/dining room at Biskey Howe you will find comfortable sofas and a wood burner, perfect for that extra touch of warmth on the chillier winter months. The style continues throughout in this gorgeous cottage, from the bathroom to the relaxing bedrooms complimented by soft furnishings. Leading from the modern and extremely well-equipped kitchen you can relax in the conservatory, perhaps with a glass of wine or a good book! This relaxing home from home is the perfect place to return to after a day exploring. Once you arrive at Biskey Howe you can leave the car behind to make the most of your location as there are many varied and beautiful walks from the door, or if cycling is your preferred mode of transport many cycleways pass close by. This small and quiet country village has a traditional village pub serving home cooked food, yet is only 3 miles from the market town of Brampton where you will find a variety of quaint little shops selling quality gifts and produce, and some excellent pubs and restaurants. Hayton is ideally placed to enjoy the many attractions close by, none more so than the iconic Hadrian’s Wall where you can walk stretches of this World Heritage Site. A visit to Talkin Tarn Country Park is a great day out for all the family with its 65-acre lake set amid 120 acres of farmland and woodland, the ideal place to enjoy a walk or even try your hand at some boating on the lake. A mere half hour drive you can explore the delights of the Lake District National Park with its majestic hills and lakes, or cross the border for a scenic drive into Scotland. A very comfortable and well-equipped cottage with some nice welcoming touches. Warm and cosy with plenty of space - having two bathrooms is a real plus. Stylish decor. Good to have off-street parking though the access can be tricky when the road outside is heavily parked up.
