Friendly & Spacious Hotel

We ended up staying at The Highfield after our booked accommodation let us down but thankfully The Highfield took us in within 10mins. On arriving at The Highfield we were greeted by a friendly young lady on reception who booked us in very quickly explained where everything was in the hotel. The room was very spacious for a double room with a very comfortable relaxing bed and whilst the decor may need refreshing the room overall and it’s facilities were great.

Needs more attention to detail

The rooms where ok. Could hear everything next do even the couple who argue thro the night. Staff were ok breakfast. Dirty cutlery and glasses. Lack of service and had to tidy table after yourself. No tea bags or tea spoons. Just very disappointed.

Good Morning Mr Sexton Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay We are very sorry that another guest disturbed you and wish you had alerted a member of our team either in person or by calling one of the numbers detailed on your room slip handed to you on arrival with your key If you could please elaborate on the 'staff ok' we would appreciate it. This is not the usual response from guests so if this member of our team does require more training we will action it immediately We are saddened to hear that you found dirty cutlery and glasses on display at breakfast, this should not happen as the breakfast bar is checked by a number of people before opening at 5:30am We have a selection of over 20 teas and we are shocked to know that these had all gone before you came for breakfast, we can only think this was during replenishment

Friendly welcome

Great location, hotel was in a quiet area, great pub for dinner on first night helpful staff and breakfast had an excellent choice. Swimming pool was a bonus to use for our stay too. Room spacious, clean and comfortable

Convenient for occasion

Friendly staff. Good breakfasts. Large room. Bed linen had an unpleasant strong smell of bleach and a large spider on the bed. Made us feel itchy all night.

Visiting to spend time with my 3 yes old grandson. I couldn't ask for better service . Very child friendly , went the extra mile , very warm and welcoming . I have stayed in a few hotel s in this area , this by far was the better service . I Will definitely be returning

Strange

Strange place, no cooked breakfast apart from check in never saw any staff
