Overall I was pleased with my stay at the Coppid Beech. As a single traveller the double room I was allocated was a good size but would have been a bit cramped had there been two of us. The room and everything in it was spotlessly clean but the overall colour scheme, fitting & furnishings are very dated and could do with a time shift away from the '80s into the more contemporary feel of a lot of other 'business hotels'. Also from a working away from home point of view, it was awkward to find sufficient power sockets in the right places - e.g. bedside and desk to work on and charge my laptop and smart phone. Having said this, I'm being pretty picky! I had a great night sleep in a very comfortable bed and a good breaksfast so I was very satisfied on this front.
We stayed here for the weekend. It's s very impressive building. Great room with all facilities one could want. The food and service was good and we managed to use the gym and spa on the last day which was very well equipt. I would highly recommend this hotel.
"Booked for day at Ascot races. Short taxi journey."
Upgraded to a suite which was magnificent. The quality of the hotel far exceeded many London hotels and the value for money was excellent. Also the meal we had in the reastauant on the Friday night was first class. The ribeye steak I had was one of the best I have tasted and cooked perfectly.
An odd place....like a dorm room of a community college. Stupid sliding bathroom door would not behave. Made reservations WELL in advance and was given the disabled room. Linens nice. Temperature of the room OK. Quiet. Nothing near by to explore. Good pub food at the bar which is located in strange place. Beautiful grounds. Good and large breakfast with variety. Coffee service in the room.
Great staff, good breakfast, in a very quiet setting, good if you are on vacation in the area, or working, close to motorway, not too far from London city center. Only 25 minutes from Heathrow. If you are interested in visiting Windsor and the general area, this would be a good location.
