Staff was confused
All of the hotels in the area were booked except this one and now we know why. Pool was "closed until further notice", but no mention of this at the front desk upon check in. 3 people were at the front desk, but only 1 computer was working so they could only check in 1 person at a time and couldn't get that right. The couple in front of us had a pre-paid reservation and they charged their card again. The staff couldn't understand that so the guest had to show them their credit card charge record to get them to investigate. Once they figured out that this was accurate, they told him the charge couldn't be credited until Monday. I was next in line and a 2nd staff member tried to log in to the other computer. He kept listening to the phone calls the 3rd person was taking and kept answering questions and taking the phone from her and not checking us in. Another guest came up and was taken care of by the 1st staff member while I continued to stand there waiting that's when they told me the 2nd computer wasn't working. All the info I got was that the room was down the hall and breakfast was 7-9. The room seemed clean and the beds were fine. Bathroom had patches on the drywall and paint splatters everywhere. TV cables weren't connected correctly so we had to change them to get the remote to work. In the morning, there was 1 person working the desk and filling the breakfast items so someone was always waiting for 1 or the other thing to get done.
