Great location and landmark hotel

Posted 27-Aug-2016
Pros: Location is perfect, and staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Cons: Due to the 'cozy' size of the room, the bulky frame around the wall-mounted TV was difficult/dangerous to maneuver around. Bathroom bi-fold door weird
Location: Great location
The 'recent' remodel of the hotel has resulted in an elegant setting that blends the old charm of the building with modern conveniences and touches. In reserving a 'cozy king', we knew the room would be very small - which it was - but nicely appointed. The biggest disappointment was the noise of the room doors slamming shut all night. Perhaps due to a fire code, the room doors are super heavy and even when closed gently they are very loud.

Central Location Close to Theater

Posted 24-Aug-2016
Pros: The location was central
Location: Very close to Theater district and short UBER to most other destinations.
We stayed here because we got a great rate, using Expedia points. Great central location- close to Theater district, Newbury Street. 5 minute Uber ride to Fenway Park. Staff was friendly and checkin was prompt. Several entrances so we were not sure where to park, for the Garage. Valet Parking was pricey at $48 per night and it took over 1/2 hour to get our car (airline pilots seemed to be taking priority over everyone else). Room was small, but clean. Bed was comfortable. We were surprised at the noise level in the room, as we live across from a hospital and are no strangers to ambulance sirens and medical helicopters. Sirens below sounded as if the window was open. Might be time to upgrade windows in some of the rooms (8032). Overall good experience and we would stay again.

Lovely hotel, located nicely for multiple options for entertainment. Safe venue for a woman not attached to the hip to her companion.

Excellent location

Posted 22-Aug-2016
Pros: Location and price
Location: Two blocks from Boston Commons with lots of restaurants close by
Excellent location. There is a $17/day fee for internet use, which is crazy. Otherwise, nicely remodeled, quiet, helpful staff, and very clean.

This ain't the Days Inn

Posted 21-Aug-2016
Staff are polite and available when needed. Hotel is located very close to lots of Boston attractions including food, shopping, personal care, parks, night life, business, colleges, etc. Fenway Park and Faniel Hall are a 5 minute drive.

Very accommodating after giving my room away

Posted 21-Aug-2016
Pros: It is very hip, slick and cool.
Cons: The response time.
Arrived just before midnight and my Cozy King room had been given away so they gave me a room w/a queen bed, breakfast credit for (2) and I requested a roll-away-bed. The bed could not fit in the small room (anywhere) so they changed our room to a Studio and put the roll-away-bed in there (which was odd because they Studio had a pull-out-couch.) We got settled about 2am.

Nice hotel, great location

Posted 18-Aug-2016
Very nicely updated. We loved our room. Lobby was busy and had a kind of on-going excitement. Hotel staff was attentive, helpful and friendly, starting with the guys at the front door. Elevators fast, smooth and quiet. The downside? Well, hotels, especially in big cities are expensive, which includes the food and drinks. And the $17.17 per diem "facilities fee", which you cannot elect to forego, seems like an unnecessary hidden charge in 2016.

A Nice Surprise in the Back Bay

Posted 18-Aug-2016
Cons: We would have appreciated more maps and tourism information in the room.
Location: Because of its central location, this hotel provides easy access to the best shopping, dining and touring experiences available.
The once tired Boston Park Plaza has been renovated into an amazing oasis in the center of the Back Bay. The lobby and other public areas are beautifully designed, and the staff is exceptional.

Good location and near good restaurants.

Posted 16-Aug-2016
Cons: Always can use more hooks in and out of the bathroom
A pleasant stay and a nice, clean hotel. The rooms are small, so if you have a lot of luggage, there is not much room for large luggage or to store clothes. Bathrooms are small also, but new and remodeled and clean.
