"The setting was beautiful and very good for our family. Unfortunately, due to septic issues, we were unable to let the kids/pets into the backyard, couldn't enjoy the fire pit and were without plumbing for a while. This could have been prevented."
"We loved our stay! We could have used a toaster and the wifi was not reliable or strong. The bed was quite comfortable! The AC was great and we appreciated the extra blanket to use on the couch. The bottle of Prosecco (one of my favorites!) was an unexpected surprise."
"Very nice place to spend a long weekend! We had a wedding in Blum and it was perfect to come back to a quiet cabin. Very clean, had what we needed, and loved the Southwest decor. TV in master and living area! Enjoyed the roosters a neighbor had in morning sitting on the porch. Couldn’t hear them in the house. If back to the area we would definitely check if available. Will be suggesting to our friends in f the want a nice getaway! Great communication with owner! "
The Blue Magnolia Lodge: Luxury Retreat on Lake Whitney with Hot Tub, Fire Pit, and Private Cove!
8/10 Good
"We really enjoyed our stay at this home--it's a beautiful place and worked great for our group. The house itself was comfortable, well-kept, and we had a great overall experience. That said, there were a couple of minor issues worth noting. We were especially looking forward to using the hot tub, but unfortunately we couldn't get it to heat up and didn't find any instructions to help troubleshoot. It was a bit of a disappointment since that was one of the reasons we chose this property. Also, there was a very friendly stray cat that spent a lot of time around us whenever we were outside. While it was incredibly sweet, several members of our group have cat allergies, so it made it a bit challenging to fully enjoy the outdoor spaces. The view of the lake was obstructed by brush and trees unless you were on the second floor deck, and the road leading to the house is tricky to navigate. Overall, though, we had a great stay and would still recommend this property to others!"

10/10 Excellent
"Pictures do not do the view justice! From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the peaceful beauty of the view we had all day every day from the living room! The rooms were super cute, clean, and well appointed. Lori was an excellent host in making sure we had everything we needed and communicating well! Can’t recommend this property enough! "
