"The showers and bathrooms are so clean, you would think they clean them every time someone uses them. The beds are extremely comfortable (keep in mind that Asian mattresses are usually on the harder side). The AC in the dorm is adjusted to perfection. I have never slept this perfect in a hostel before!"

"Plataran Heritage Borobudur is a beautiful and elegant property that combines classic charm with warm Indonesian hospitality. The architecture, stylish lobby, and refined interiors create a sophisticated atmosphere with a timeless, almost French-inspired feel.
We were welcomed with a refreshing drink, and throughout our stay the staff were exceptionally friendly, smiling, and accommodating. Their genuine hospitality was one of the highlights of our visit.
Our room was spacious and comfortable, with fresh fruit waiting for us on the table and a small balcony overlooking palm trees and the surrounding mountains. The complimentary afternoon tea was a lovely touch, offering a generous selection of food and beverages.
The hotel also provides a complimentary shuttle to Borobudur Temple, making it very convenient to visit this iconic landmark. We enjoyed dining at Stupa Restaurant, where the food was good, the service excellent, and the staff professional and courteous.
While there were a few housekeeping details that did not fully meet our expectations for a five-star property, we greatly appreciated how professionally and sincerely the management team handled our feedback. Their commitment to guest satisfaction left a positive impression on us.
Overall, Plataran Heritage Borobudur is a wonderful hotel with beautiful surroundings, elegant accommodations, thoughtful amenities, and outstanding service. We would happily recommend it to anyone visiting the Borobudur area."
"I stayed at the villa with wife and 3 children. The bedroom space is just nice for us.
The view is excellent!!! We had a swimming pool to ourselves, we sat under the sky to view the stars, see sunset and sunrise.
The service is really good & breakfast though simple but is enough and made amazing with the great view and cooling climate.
We ordered dinner into the room, the price is reasonable and food quality is good. Overall, a very good experience!!"
"Very nice lagoon pool and beautiful grounds. Room is well appointed and spacious with a nice desk to work fromif needed. Overall a good place to stay. A few areas to improve are: Breakfast is too crowded and busy, the outer room used as an overflow (Chinese restaurant) is not set up with cutlery and napkins yet it is needed everyday so it should be ready for guests . I ate breakfast 3 days at various hours and it was crowded all the time. Also the hallways are very dark - just makes for a gloomy feel in a large hotel. Lastly the chemical scent being sprayed in the hallways and in front of the elevator is very strong and off putting for those with sensitive noses. These are easy fixes and I will return to this property in the future. The staff is amazing and so kind friendly and helpful- Lovely!"
"We were always greeted warmly by the staff, who aimed to please and provided great communication. The room was impeccably clean and the breakfasts were excellent - with a wonderful variety of food. We appreciated the location, which was walkable to Malioboro St. We didn't use the spa, but the pool with the city view was a welcome relief from the heat."
"Food:TERRIBLE OTHER than breakfast. You never know what you order and what’s totally different was received. Triedfortwo days and dinner was awful. Eanded up eating outside for remaining eating up outside the last two nights.
Otherthannthe lunch and dinner, this was a nice place to stay."
"Beautiful and luxurious hotel with an A+ staff.
Room is cleaned every day unless I ask to skip (with a button near the door) but they will come by later for a rescheduling. This way they can restock the free complimentary water and food/fruits.
Pool is very nice, breakfast buffet is from 6am to 10am and I do recommend getting it as part of your room - wide selection and most of its pretty good. There is a national anthem at 10am that does play in public areas of the hotel.
Staff is helpful and professional with the front desk and those at most front facing positions having strong English speaking skills too.
Would go back if I was in Yogya"
"Where do I begin?
My stay at this hotel was magnificent. The pictures do not do this hotel justice, our expectations were beyond exceeded.
I’ll begin with the hotel grounds, a true nature paradise. The staff works tirelessly to keep the grounds immaculately clean. The views of the temples and surrounding mountains are beautiful. There is a nice area for children and such cute animals that are well taken care of.
Our modern grand spa villa was stunning! We swam in our warm pool, enjoyed the views, and wish we could stay longer. Cleanliness was 10/10. House-keeping and butler service was impressive.
The service everywhere was wonderful. The staff at the morning breakfast and afternoon tea were wonderful. All smiles and greetings even from the chefs! They will go out of their way to ensure you have everything you need. The restaurants were delicious. The staff at the front desk was professional and very helpful at addressing our needs 24 hours a day. Thank you!!
The afternoon tea was a delight. The music was very soothing, the treats and tea was delicious.
The spa was phenomenal. Best massages my husband and I have ever had. Book massages here, you will not regret it!
The gym is well-equipped and very clean.
A special shout out to Sandy, Divian, the lady with braces working in the restaurant, and the female receptionist, thank you immensely for your service!
This hotel has everything and more. Highly recommend. We will return but next time for a longer stay!!"
