Great Breakfast, but It does not vary; you always get the same breakfast offering. The staff was helpful. The rooms were a bit too small. I will recommend this property to anyone staying for a day or two.

I was disappointed of how they treated me. They kept saying things in French like either some type of insult or something. It’s disappointing.

Good for a short stay
Basic but comfortable room, friendly staff. Good for a short stay in Bordeaux. The cleanliness was good. It is carpeted, which I don't like, but the carpets are clean. It's a bit outside the center, but it's just a short tram ride or a 20 min walk crossing the bridge over the river. Note that you only get a big towel each and no small towels, so bring a small one if you need it for hands etc. What is missing is more shelf space for your things.

Stay away. Dirty and small. Bed linens felt used and towels are thin. The price may be cheap, but what you get is cheaper. It's also far from the main parts of Bordeaux. 30min plus walk from the main areas (because you have to cross the river) unfriendly staff. Fortunately, we had a car, but despite the fact that building is far from the main areas, we had to pay for keeping the car from 01:00 to 09:00 (ridiculous).

Loved the decor in hotel and room. Room was big and quiet, at the side overlooking the supermarket and gym. Lovely breakfast, lots of choice. Lack of towels, only two small thin bath towels, no hand towels. Didn`t like the rough recycled toilet paper. Lack of English tv channels.

Lots of good points
There are lots of bonus points such as cleanliness, very good air conditioning, comfortable large double bed, blackout curtains and soundproofed room. On the other hand there are no extras such as a kettle or a fridge and everything is designed to make the room easy to clean so it feels a bit plasticky. If you want to use the underground car park, it is at one end of the Carrefour car park next to the hotel. Take a ticket from the machine as you enter and then look for the Ibis signs and park there. Keep the ticket and pay for the parking at the hotel reception. Then when you leave the hotel take the ticket to reception and they will validate it so that it will open the barrier when you leave the car park. I'm writing this here as I couldn't find this information anywhere else and hope it helps someone.

Pleasant stay in Bastide
Lovely hotel, very clean rooms, the towels were changed regularly. Some toiletries provided. Rooms are small but adequate for a short stay. The bed is vey comfortable, the air con/fan is appreciated in the summer heat. Check in process was very efficient, refreshments provided in reception which is a nice touch. Close to a metro stop, supermarket next door, really good value.

My friends all stayed in the main old town part of Bordeaux and paid at least 100 euros more for a 4 night stay. The tram is a 5 min walk (I timed it) and it was 5 or 6 mins on the team into town. It was quiet at night but not unsafe. I think there's a lot of students in the area. I'd stay here again.

Good location
Excellent stay at this location in Bordeaux especily if you have a car. Parked outside the hotel ,free on Sunday. Ibis you get a basic clean room good shower but would like a kettle. Nice walk over the bridge to the beautiful city of Bordeaux

Front reception staff a credit to Ibis - friendly and helpful. Hotel, while across the bridge, easily accessible to historic area and good value. Plenty of local options as well. Room clean and adequate though with rather strange protective sheeting on mattress that kept coming off. Small niggle - this is good value base to visit Bordeaux

Nice hotel, within walking distance (20mins) of historic town. Covid restrictions in place.Underground parking at supermarket entrance although a bit pricey. Nice friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast good

Comfortable stay
Very clean, staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was compact, but perfect for one person. Bed was comfortable. Very good breakfast (costs extra but well worth it and very reasonable for the variety offered). I had an issue with the toilet but it was promptly fixed, and had issues thereafter. Very good value. Would recommend this hotel.

Great location and great nights sleep
Amazing comfy bed and slept until 9.30 am, something I never do. At first we were not sure about the location but literally 10 to 15 minutes walk and we were in the tourist centre of Bordeaux. Plenty of free parking at weekends and local IBIS car park too. Hot breakfast buffet only until 10 so unfortunately we missed it. Very clean and compact room but no tea / coffee or safe in room but exceptional value overall

Not good in hot weather
2-day tourist visit. Staff very helpful, hotel clean, but air con was like a fairy breathing on you (bearing in mind that fairies don't exist). No food offering one day - as they said they hadn't been shopping! Very accessible for town centre.

Reasonable location and fairly standard facilities, however, staff varied considerably and food offerings were also inconsistent. Evening staff, Fabian and Lis were friendly and very helpful. There seemed to be many different morning staff, none very pleasant and they drifted in an out, eating food from the breakfast buffet as they worked. Some evenings, there was a blackboard out with a menu and snacks, other evenings, this didn't seem to be available- with no notice.

Budget break in Bordeaux
The hotel was a short distance from the town center in a local quite part of town over the river from the main area with a handful of restaurants and bars in the surrounding area. The reception bar area was comfortable and well served during the day and night although some might say it was quite. The room was basic but was ideal for a short break

Very clean, friendly efficient staff. Very helpful. Area is a bit out of the town centre, quiet, little traffic, restaurants nearby and a short 10 minute tram ride away from the old town. Would stay here again.

Nice hotel a bit out of city center.
The erea where the hotel is located is in transision. New buildings and some shops that are closed. We spent two nights here and all is good. It is a good walk from the city senter. Bit you can take the Tram wich stops a block away from the hotel. The area is quiet at night.

Fab location for a quick stop over in Bordeaux and also sightseeing. You know what you are getting when you book an Ibis, but to be fair, I was thoroughly impressed with this hotel. In particular, the breakfast was very generous and varied. Top area to stay.
