The Best Stay of our whole trip thru New England
Newagen is beautiful! We were so pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed its old-time flair with modern updates. The staff was amazing. Clean, comfortable and the waterviews divine. We would go there again, and next time for a resort style several days long getaway. There is so much to do. It’s reminded us of the Dirty Dancing resort.

Fall weekend
Beautiful fall weekend. We were upgraded to a room with large balcony. Gorgeous view. Lovely walks around the property. Generous but dull breakfast. Yea and coffee always available!

The location was lovely. Ate in the on site restaurant but the steak we had wasn’t good. You do need to jump in the car to eat at other places as quite isolated.

Idyllic Coastal Inn
Great historic hotel with gorgeous views surrounding the property. Amazing food and service!! We really enjoyed the heated pool, the lawn games, and especially The Pine Room game room! This is a gem that takes you back in time with all the modern amenities you need for a relaxing getaway! Loved everything about it!

Very peaceful
Very quiet and peaceful. Pretty and clean property/rooms. Nice breakfast. If you are traveling along the coast, it’s pretty far off the beaten path.

Beautiful property. Excellent staff and very clean. Only suggestions would be thicker pillows and the breakfast buffet was a bit of a letdown even though it was free. Would definitely come back.

No TVs in certain rooms. Thin linens. Couldn’t park in the circle drive to even unload our car. My partner tried and someone appeared from the dark and asked if she read the sign? We were so tired we couldn’t even think. The other spots were full near the entrance so finding a spot was difficult. It was very dark and we finally saw someone backing out of a space nearby and grabbed it. Unloaded our things and trudged back to the entrance. Just ridiculous.

I'm so sorry for the miscommunication. We tell all of our guests that they can unload their bags before parking. It's true that the rooms in the historic part of our property do not have televisions, though we do have free wifi throughout the property. Our newer Little Inn building and all of our cottages do have TVs.

Amazing Property
What an amazing property. We had a wonderful trip. There was something to do on the property several nights while we were there. One night there was a lobster bake, which i would recommend and another night there was a piano concert. My only complaint is the bedding. The mattress and pillows are hard. Other than that, i would recommend this Inn

Thank you for your feedback! How fun that you were lucky enough to be on property to see the Piano Men concert...I hope you knew every song! Bedding is a tough one because it's so subjective. One man's "hard" is another man's "fluffy." If you return, please give us a heads-up when you make your reservation and we'll do our best to accommodate your bedding preferences.

We enjoyed the views and location but wished our room (in the main building) had some basic amenities, including a TV and microwave. Our room was also small with 2 double beds, instead of queen size beds. The furnishings, decor, and linens were outdated. The bathroom was tiny-- it was hard to open/close the door. The breakfast buffet food was very good! The Pub restaurant was also great; however the menu offered limited options. Lastly, we found the staff very kind, patient, and helpful.

Thanks for staying with us! Based on your feedback, it sounds like you might enjoy a room in our newer Little Inn, each of which has a TV and microwave, and very spacious bathrooms. The historic Main Inn definitely has more of a cozy layout.

This was an amazing property! They had a wonderful chef that made the most delicious meal that I had in Maine. Scallops with angel hair pasta was sooooo good. Staff was also friendly and the pine room game room was fun too!
