"Everything was amazing! We have one small complaint and it was that the jets in the out door hot tub were not working, the inside hot tub wasn't even hot."

"This property has a lot of potential but it needs a lot of work. Some renovations are needed, BUT simply keeping the common areas clean would help. My first room smelled terrible. I switched rooms and there was no smell, but it was pretty dirty. Second day, my room key stopped working. No apology from the staff. I watched a maintenance guy walk through the hallway and get on the elevator with a dripping plunger after he plunged a toilet. Bagging the plunger is a simple and sanitary step. The location is the best thing about this hotel."

"On the Expedia site it said connecting rooms were available, after several calls and messages we were finally assured we would get a connecting room because we had children but the rooms were not connected, it was a lie, when I asked to be switched to the promised connecting rooms they told use they don't have any. On the Expedia website it advertises a buffet breakfast, that is a second lie. It is actually a VERY bare "continental breakfast with sub par coffee, stale toast and muffins, cereal dispensers, a small waffle maker, but it is unclean. Everything was mostly gone by 830am when we came down, we were utterly disappointed. I want to reiterate that there is no possible way this can be called a buffet and this was the single reason I booked these rooms over other hotel choices. Another issue was our rooms were barely turned over for new guests. Room one had one half used roll of toilet paper (no spare rolls), broken roll dispenser and a mostly empty tissue box. Room two had two half used toilet rolls, I firmly believe they recycle used product to save a buck. Food was also left in the 2nd room microwave from a prior guest, it was a disgusting mess. After our first day out we came back to find no house keeping was done to either of our rooms, when I brought it to the front desk's attention they told me I have to request it every morning of my stay. Their excuse is that they have received guest complains of theft by the staff! AND THEIR BEDS ARE ROCK HARD!!"

"It is surprise Double Tree has such a shabby building in Williamsburg. The noice of AC in the room is huge, you basically feel thunderstorm the whole night, I literally was thinking it was heavy raining for the whole night. And about the clean room, you barely feel someone is cleaned anywhere of the room. The check out line in the morning is long and they only have one staff at front desk for all customers, so you have to wait for very long time, horrible place. Breakfast is not covered, they charge higher fee for low quality breakfast, with this price, Holiday Inn free breakfast is even better, here they just charge you with no care for anything. Btw, they also charge a restoration fee and parking fee when you check in, even NY hotel will not charge restoration fee, this definitely no good choice in Williamsburg. Not recommend to anyone."
