The hotel was a little hard to find and we were assigned a loft in a separate location. The loft was clean and very modern. The bed was terrible! So bad that I slept on a sofa bench the second night. The area is really fun but remember that shops in Oldenburg are closed on Sundays. The staff were very friendly.

Nice rooms that are walking distance to the main train station and in an old town of attractive and interesting shopping cobble stone streets with many smaller stores, good prices and shops to eat in as well. This area is walking and cycling only, no cars.

This hotel had the most awesome breakfast spread. Staff are friendly and helpful although sometimes you might have to wait a bit downstairs at the reception coz usually there is only one person.

Bit quirky but nice
Bit strange as some rooms were outside the hotel and down a street between shops and hard to find. There is no parking as its in a high street and the multi-story is a short walk but a pain if you have lots of bags. There was also no concesion from the hotel so you pay a daily rate which can be quite expensive

Lovely modern hotel
Superb place to stay. Rooms lovely, facilities excellent. Location perfect. If we are ever in Oldenburg again, we will return without hesitation.

Pleasant but noisy
The hotel was pleasant, the room was spacious but a little cold in atmosphere. The location was very central, but the down side of this was that the noisy nightlife at nearby clubs meant we had a disturbed night. The hotel offers a card for the nearby carp ark but we were not informed of that at checkin, only as we left and we had used the car park several times by then.

Nice hotel, centrally near town and all activities
The hotel staff was welcoming and helpful. We brought a bottle of wine into the lounge and the waiter brought us glasses and made us feel very welcome. The location is great.

we have stayed before and were looking forward to dinner in the restaurant. But dinner was no longer served there,but down the road at a restaurant.It was wellworth the walk excellent food.

SOOOO relaxing
Lovely, spacious room, very comfortable beds, the staff were extremely friendly. There was LICORICE at the check in, how cool is that?! There was free ice cream at the entrance for hotel guests to "cool off". We spent a night before an interview and were very relaxed the next morning!

Great Oldenburg hotel
The hotel experience was superb. The staff were excellent, as was the breakfast and room. We were put in the extension, which had airconditioning. There were so many extras such as free soft drinks, icecreams, lollies and nuts at the front desk. Their restaurant was also superb and reasonable for the quality.

Wonderful location.
Great hotel. Very nice rooms and great location right in the pedestrian inner city. Breakfast buffet was excellent and though Oldenburg has many great restaurants near the hotel, we had a fantastic dinner at the restaurant in the hotel, with a wonderful waitstaff. The bed was a bit hard for me and we couldn't make the coffee pot work more than once which was too bad because the coffee was amazing. Great place.

Das Hotel profitiert von der Nähe zu Bahnhof und Busknotenpunkt. Wichtig für Leute, die ohne Auto reisen. Lage im Stadtzentrum/Altstadt ist ebenfalls sehr angenehm. Wir waren zufrieden.

Modern, sauber, zentral. Wäre nicht das ständige Gedudel der Außenlautsprecher der benachbarten Brasserie bis um 23.00 Uhr wäre die Unterkunft spitzenmäßig.

Optimale Lage in der Innenstadt. Hervorragende Arbeit am Empfang. Mein Koffer wurde später aufs Zimmer gebracht, da ich zu früh war und somit das Zimmer vom Housekeeping noch nicht freigegeben war, der Weg zum Zimmer wurde genauestens erklärt.

Wij zijn 2 nachten geweest ter gelegenheid van de kerstmarkt en winkelen. Negatief: Er hing een rioollucht bij de liften en de trappengang. Gelukkig niet op de kamer. De tussendeur op de kamer zorgt ervoor dat je de buren iets te goed hoort 😉. Geen bar waar je een drankje kan doen. Alternatief wat men aanbood was te druk om aan de bar te zitten. Is meer een chique restaurant dan een bar. Heeft ook maar 10 zitplaatsen aan de bar. Lange Incheck tijd. Bij drukte zou het fijn zijn als men even met 2 personen de incheck zou kunnen doen. Alle genoemde punten vonden wij aandachtspunten. Maar zeker geen punten om hier niet boeken. Positief: Loftkamer (in bijgebouw op 50 meter afstand) erg groot en mooi. Dubbele wastafel fijne douche, meteen warm water, leker comfortabel bed, op loopafstand van winkels en de Kerstmarkt. Personeel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ontbijt erg lekker. Op dit moment een combinatie van buffet met ala carte. Parkeren op 100 meter afstand van het hotel in de garage (Waffenplatz 15 euro per dag) met korting voucher van het hotel kregen wij 10 euro korting. Gratis drankje als de kamer niet hoeft schoongemaakt te worden. Hotel is echt een aanrader als je naar de Kerstmarkt wil gaan of lekker wil winkelen. Wij zouden zeker hier nog een keer boeken.

Wir waren zu zweit eine Nacht im Hotel Altera und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir hatten ein Studio gebucht und uns über sehr viel Platz gefreut - vor allem genug Platz, um die Koffer während des Aufenthalts nicht im Weg zu haben (die Studios haben einen begehbaren Kleiderschrank!) und im Bad genug Ablagefläche. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, es war kein Problem, unser Gepäck (zwei Koffer und zwei Rucksäcke) am Abreisetag noch über mehrere Stunden abzugeben. Sehr positiv überrascht waren wir vom Frühstück, es wird viel Wert auf nachhaltiges Frühstück und Müllvermeidung gelegt, der Service ist sehr aufmerksam. Direkt zum Hotel gehören drei Restaurants, da findet sicher jeder was - wir wurden im Pretty Pho sehr glücklich und sehr satt! Wenn wir mal wieder nach Oldenburg kommen, wissen wir schon, wo wir unterkommen werden. :-)
