Located on the Toccoa River directly above an ancient Cherokee fish trap, with incredible views down river and DIRECT RIVER ACCESS for fishing. Other amenities include new Starlink WiFi - a Fire Pit – 1500 SF Cascading Deck – Game Room – Cabin Chic Design – 2 bedrooms plus 1 loft bedroom, and 3 bathrooms – Hot Tub – Gas Interior Fireplace – Professionally Decorated with Custom Details and much more! Max - 6 people, counting ALL children. Not recommended for children under the age of 5\. NO PETS, NO SMOKING, NO FIREARMS! This waterfront property sits on a small bluff above the Toccoa River, with direct river access,! There are incredible views of the river! A straight on view overlooks one of the five federally protected fish traps on the Toccoa River, with a partial view of the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway as it crosses the property in the warmer months. Off to the left there is a beautiful down river view as it gracefully curves through the mountains. The cascading outdoor deck has been designed to accentuate the views and creates an incredible outdoor space for relaxing, reading a book or just taking a nice nap as you relax in nature. A fire pit area has been incorporated into the deck design, overlooking the river. The interior of the cabin was refurbished and professionally decorated in 2020 and features a Cabin Chic design - including a little glam - with custom design features not found in other river cabins. MAIN LEVEL: • Kitchen features a fridge, stove, microwave, and a stainless steel dishwasher, with a granite counter-top, and farmhouse design features. • Living room has a sectional couch, Smart TV, cowhide rug, gas log fireplace set, with lots of lighting, accented by a large chandelier. • Dining area features a farmhouse table and chairs, highlighted with a graceful chandelier and light window treatments • Main bathroom features a rustic vanity with granite counter-top, chic rustic lighting, private toilet room and full tub and shower combo. • Main bedroom is cozy and romantic, adorned with a cherry wood California King bed with a luxurious pillow top mattress. The fresh linens with lots of pillows, accentuated by a Cabin Chic lighting package of rose gold light fixtures, including a fandelier and finished off with upcycled nightstands and a dresser. This room is light and bright, yet perfect to curl up in for a good night's sleep! LOFT LEVEL: • The two sectioned loft features a reading nook and office area on one side, complete with internet. A reclaimed whitewashed wood wall highlights this area with lots of light. • The other side is a Master Suite and is one of the most unique spaces in our log cabin! There is a feature wall of 1880’s galvanized steel roof shingles, a cream, high headboard California King bed with a luxurious pillow top mattress, fresh linens, and lots of pillows. Light window treatments, a glam convertible light/ ceiling fan with Austrian crystals create a nice breeze. Crack the windows to hear the rushing river water as you relax in this one of a kind space. The master bath is attached, with a little bit of bling and tin added to enhance the romance of this room. As an added bonus, we've recently added an oversized white curtain that can be closed to add extra privacy to this beautiful space. It adds to the Cabin Chic décor, while being a feature not found in other cabins with loft bedrooms. BASEMENT LEVEL: • A newly remodeled bedroom and bathroom featuring a Queen reclaimed wood bed, with whitewashed reclaimed wood walls in both the bedroom and detached bathroom. Gorgeous linens atop a Temperpedic mattress and a mini chandelier round out the Cabin Chic look. The HOT TUB , is just outside the exterior bedroom door of the basement bedroom along with an outside sitting area with beautiful views of the river! • Game room with a Shuffleboard table, Poker and card table, board games and a corn hole game for the outside deck!. Our family enjoyed the Toccoa river and being located right at the fish trap we were set for success. The game room was fun and so was the Blue Ridge Railway which came by every day we were there. Lots of nice decks and outside furniture areas to enjoy the outdoors. Also lots of steps, so especially the way back up may be hard for those with mobility issues. It is extremely clean and clear on house rules. We spent alit of time fishing trout and floating on the river. We had no complaints nor issues at this beautiful home that comfortably housed 5 adults. Lots of stairs inside and out but we liked the exercise. The outdoor deck is the highlight of this location with an amazing view of the Toccoa River. There were deer everywhere on the drive up to the cabin, and even saw plenty of them on the property. It is a bit of a hike to get down to the river and back up, so just be prepared to handle the long staircase down and back. It was fun to see the train go by twice a day as well. Ellen, the host was great about communication and making sure we had a great stay.Side note, fly fishing here in July is tough due to the warm temps but did manage to land a few fish. Gotta hit it early in the morning or right at dusk, but pay attention to the dam release schedule so you don't get caught out there in rushing water. ##### Gil M. This cabin was amazing. My favorite part was waking up in the morning and having my coffee on the deck, listening to the river and watching the wildlife. It was a great place to decompress and get away from the daily chaos for a few days. The cabin was clean and had an everything you could need. It has such a great view of the river, with really lovely outdoor spaces for relaxing. The drive in to the cabin was easy, which is always a plus in mountain areas. Everything was super clean and we appreciated the little touches like marshmallow roasting sticks and a few fishing supplies. We saw deer, a racoon, an armadillo, and a mama turkey with a few babies in the few days we were at the cabin. ##### Brooke D. Extremely clean and well kept. The road to the cabin takes a few trips to get used to and the walk down to the walk is a little steep but well maintained. ##### Taylor T. We went for long weekend for long overdue girls trip! More than enough space! Well equipped with everything we needed! Comfy beds and super clean!! And the best part are the decks!! The sound of the river is very relaxing. It was very fun to see the passing train go by. The house is very well equipped and has all you need for a nice visit. Location is great as it is far enough from town for quiet but close to drive for groceries or shopping. Would love to stay there again. Ellen and Dave were literally the most astute and ready to help hosts you will ever have on trip using VRBO. I cannot say enough about their hospitality and the property they share. While it is fun to debate what properties were best among the ones you have stayed at. This absolutely is in the conversation for one of the best for our family. Wonderful communication with the owner. Bedding, comfort/decor were wonderful! Adorable cabin and river access was magical!! Would recommend patio furniture be cleaned of dust and cobwebs.
