"Very good one night stay in Sedalia. Uniquely themed hotel and lobby. Attractive and convenient facility overall. Front desk staff were friendly. Did not swim in the pool but it looked clean, well-maintained and inviting. Hot and cold breakfast options. I thought it was well furnished for a "complimentary" breakfast....no complaints. Biscuit/gravy, scrambled egg, hash browns, bacon, sausage, cereal, yogurt, muffins, juice, coffee, milk. The staff member in charge worked to keep everything stocked and everyone well served. Hallways and room were clean. Would definitely stay again."

"Super quiet and clean! Doesn’t have any residual smoke odors from years past, right next to Casey’s was really convenient. Internet worked well. Friendly gal at the desk when I checked in. I stayed for work, and am likely to stay again."

"This historic home was extremely well-furnished with lots of interesting decor and books to look at and a comfy couch. Each room has its own mini-split AC, and could control the temp separately. I loved the design of the kitchen with plenty of supplies for cooking and a coffee pot. The bed was so luxurious and comfy, it was perfect for the overnight stay. The patio was great for an early morning connect with nature, many birds singing. The bathroom vanity was a little small, but overall excellent with an updated shower. Would stay here again."

"Friendly Nichole called the day of our stay to give us a heads up on check-in (piece-o-cake.) If you love old architecture, this is for you. This review for SOUTHERN BELLE ROOM. Outer walls brick, inner walls padded fabric. 10-ft ceilings and 18” crown molding! It was a hot day, and we expected our room to be warm with west exposure and 4 big single-pane windows. But they must have a tremendous ventilation system; it was very comfortable. The room had good blackout curtains. They do stand apart and away from the wall a bit. so if you’re a privacy freak, just bring a few clothespins. Someone did a great job cleaning the room. The clawfoot tub sports a few scuffs, but has a perfect angle for soaking, way better than modern tubs. The mattress was pretty comfortable. The 4-poster frame is beautiful; it did squeak quite loudly when I turned over. Beautiful old furniture does that. There’s a lounge upstairs with frig & microwave, chairs & magazines, coffee/tea fixings, extra towels, ironing board, and an entrance to the rooftop deck. Even flashlights to step out there after dark. They’re upgrading the patio area—a great spot for morning coffee by the flowers. You may have a visitor cat. Food isn’t served there, but if you bring microwave food, you can use tables and an ice machine in the dining room. There’s also a great room for guests to relax in. One train went around bedtime—close and loud and fun! If any more went in the night, we didn’t hear them. "

"We had visited this property at Christmas time in 2018 and had such a warm lovely experience. It was different this time. I was told new management came in 2020. There are still Christmas trees and dusty wrapped presents on the upper landing. I did enjoy the lemon water and the breakfast was ok. It was just a different, more impersonal experience this time."

"My dogs and I loved our stay at The Latch House Barn! The decor and fittings are top-notch, yet also durable enough to accommodate furry friends. The fenced yard was a very welcome amenity for weary travelers, as was the picturesque, eminently-walkable town of Arrow Rock. Only detractor from a perfect visit was the baffling absence of any toilet paper in any bathroom, or anywhere in the house that I was able to find! A one-off oversight, I’m sure. Would love to stay longer next time, and explore all the area clearly has to offer! "

"Attending an out of state family reunion. Home is exactly as described and was very clean. Kitchen had items to make your stay easy should you decide to cook. If not DQ is two blocks away! "
