"Good for night at the theatre"
Good location close to West end shows and Covent Garden. Efficient check-in and upgraded to a business class room when I mentioned it was our anniversary. Good size room with complimentary tea and coffee. Decent bathroom and shower. Buffet breakfast was included in the deal and was very good.

"Central London favorite "
Two stays this year, both short. Rooms are a decent size, room furnishings and bathroom are up to date. Clean. Easy access to everything, Warren St Tube is right next door. Rooms facing Tottenham Court Rd get fair amount of traffic noise. Other rooms are quieter.

"Another excellent stay"
We stayed next door at the Bloomsbury last year. This year we decided on the Kenilworth. Staff All the staff were exemplary. Always smiling, pleasant and efficient. Such a wonderful treat when people are so lovely! Lobby The lobby offers infused, iced water and in the afternoon there's a selection of sweets available as well as a little extra treat. The lifts and communal areas are all clean and welcoming. Room The room my Mum and I stayed in was a twin. These are single beds, not double, but we knew that when we booked. The room size is good and the bathroom was fresh and clean with lots of space to put wash bags and cosmetics, etc. The temperature was good, the beds were good, in fact everything was better than anticipated. Food The attached restaurant is Scoff and Banter. I was really impressed with the quality of the food and the service. We had a set evening meal with wine and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Also, the buffet breakfast in the Scoff and Banter was probably one of the best I ever had; fresh, not greasy, plenty of variety and someone tending to everything constantly. Again the staff were excellent. The chef deserves a mention - well done! Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay there again.

Pocket Guide: London Bloomsbury Carlson Hotels

The fashionable residential district of Bloomsbury in central London, dotted with hushed Georgian garden squares, has drawn famous writers and philosophers through the centuries. Virginia Woolf and the Bloomsbury Set redefined the 20th-century novel here, and being the seat of the British Library and the British Museum, it was also where Charles Darwin formulated his historic theory of evolution.
